The Rejected Alpha Scarlett Novels & Stories

Erick's POV "I, Maliyla Giuliano, accept your rejection, Alpha Erick," Maliyla growled. Within seconds of those words leaving her mouth, a wave of pain washed over me. It never crossed my mind that the fucken bitch might have accepted my rejection. My body suddenly felt weak. After rejecting Maliyla, I knew my wolf had been hurt, but I never expected this. There was something I wanted to say, but I couldn't get the words out. I could feel my blood boiling as I looked away from Maliyla, unable to meet her gaze. Nick was the only person at my side, while my half-ass Luna was stuck on fucken stupid, staring into a blank abyss. Maliyla caught my eye as Nick helped me stand. This was not the girl

Scarlett stood near the hearth while her aunt paced before her with a composure so precise it became more frightening than anger. Lady Maerwynn did not shout. She had never needed to. “Do you understand what happened last night?” she asked. Scarlett kept her hands folded before her. “The Alpha asked Rhea Moonmere to dance.” “The Alpha publicly rejected the arrangement the council had prepared.” “He did not reject it cruelly.” Maerwynn stopped walking. Scarlett knew before the older woman spoke that the answer had been a mistake. Kindness, or even the appearance of it, was not useful in this room.

“Yes, your Alpha knows I am in his pack.” “What do you want with me?” I decide to choose the safest reply. He looks steadily at me. “You found your mate three days ago.” It’s not a question. He says it matter of factly like it’s common knowledge and the reminder of Dylan makes my chest ache. Clenching my jaw and fighting the urge to return home—as my cheeks heat in annoyance—I look into his eyes. “Yes.” “And you were rejected.” “I’m aware of what happened to me.” He doesn’t react to the evident anger in my voice. He just looks steadily on as though considering whether or not to tell me something.

"So loving me is a weakness now?" He closed his eyes. "I'm sorry." "Don't. Don't say you're sorry. Tell me this is a nightmare. Tell me you're lying." He said nothing. Her knees went weak. She searched his face for the boy who used to bring her wildflowers, the young Alpha who'd once sworn he'd always choose her. That man was gone. Maybe he'd never existed at all. Logan drew one last breath, and his voice carried across the courtyard. "I, Alpha Logan Ashford, reject Scarlett De Luca as my fated mate."

XAVIER I had not planned to stay long. Blackridge pack had no business at an Ashveil’s gathering and I did not pretend otherwise. I was here because Godric Ashbourne— the Alpha of Ashveil—owed me a conversation he had been avoiding for months, and I was done waiting for him. I had planned to stay for an hour before returning to my pack. That was until I heard a low cry. He is rejecting his mate? Doesn’t he know an Alpha needs his true mate to be strong? I watched the girl go down as their bond severed. I heard her cries from across the room and watched the pack deny her help.

vanish into the snow. Suddenly, a new request flickered on Scarlett's communication crystal. The profile sigil was unfamiliar—a sleek, elegant crest. Scarlett’s brow furrowed, a chill of unease prickling her skin. Once Hudson ditched Bria, he sprinted back to his black carriage. The moment the iron door slammed shut, the mask of the indomitable Alpha shattered. He slumped against the furs, eyes squeezed shut, the crushing weight of exhaustion finally etching itself into his features.

He picked up the discarded mask and inspected it for cracks before setting it down on a rock. "I told him she was dead," I choked out, wrapping my arms around myself. "I looked him in the eye, and I killed the last hope he had." "You told him the truth," Alaric said, sitting down beside me on the cold stone. He didn't touch me, but his presence was a warm weight against my side. "Elara Vance died in the snow four months ago. The woman who walked away from him tonight is a warrior." "He looked so…" I couldn't finish the sentence. "He’s the Alpha. He’s supposed to be arrogant. Unbreakable. But he looked like I tore his heart out."

Pack members whispered and smiled, already celebrating the official union between the ruthless Alpha and his supposedly weak, human-born mate—me. Killian stepped forward, his towering frame exuding dominance that silenced every murmur. His dark hair glimmered under the moonlight, his chiseled jaw set tight. He was every bit the powerful Alpha everyone revered—and feared. And for a fleeting moment, I hoped the hardness in his expression would melt, that he’d reach for me like he used to in private. But then, his voice cut through the night like a blade. “I, Alpha Killian Nightfang…” He paused, his gaze locking on mine with a cold intensity that froze me where I stood. “…reject you, Aria Rosew

“Just checking on you. You’ve been gone for hours, and your aunt’s worried sick. Figured I’d find you before you did something stupid.” “Too late for that,” I muttered, staring up at the sky. Ethan was quiet for a moment, his usual bravado slipping. “What happened with Christopher?” “You already know” “Are you kidding the whole pack knows the alpha found his mate and rejected her” “He didn’t actually reject me” Ethan looks confused “what do you mean?” I hesitated, not sure how much to say. But Ethan had always been a good listener, and right now, I needed someone to talk to.

He stared at me, the hatred in his eyes evident and then he said the words I dreaded the most in my life. "I, Alpha Leo Fernandez of the Blood Moon Pack, rejects you, Crystal Thorne as my mate." His words tore through my very being, leaving my wolf shattered, but there was nothing I could do. "Now, accept the damn rejection and get lost," He growled. I shook my head in the negative. I had heard so much about the pain that came after a rejection and I didn't want to go through that. "Are you out of your mind?" He grabbed me by the throat and squeezed hard. "You would die like a pauper here and no one would even bother to search for your remains."
