I exhaled slowly and stepped back, closing the door behind me.
A moment later, it opened again. Mirelle stepped out, dressed in a simple nightwear that did nothing to hide the softness of her body. The sight of her made my throat tighten. My wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin, reacting to her presence, to her scent, to the undeniable pull that had never faded.
She looked… beautiful. Effortlessly so. I swallowed hard, forcing myself to stay still, to keep control, even as every instinct inside me urged me to close the distance and pull her into my arms.
