Shailyn commented, feeling bad for his injusticee, she pressed her knuckles to her jaw and continued reading, failing to hear that heavy footsteps that echoed loudly in the room till two feet stood before her, instantly Shailyn froze, her eyes landing on the black shoes.
Instantly her head snapped up and she was met with a sharp gaze that made her heart flutter. Immediately, she was up on her feet, the book held to her chest and lips pressed together while her eyes lingered anywhere but the man in front of her. She felt like she was caught doing something she wasn't supposed to, like a kid caught stealing cookies from the jar.
