My P.I Lady

My P.I Lady

Totale Chaosealindog ni mamafriend mom storymy parents aren't heroes they're just like mesabi ng mama mo
Parang may maliit na bagay na nakaipit dito. Out of curiosity, agad ko ng kinuha ang librong 'yon mula sa shelf then dusted it off. "'Where the sun doesn't shine' by Marvens Jeff Bonhomme..?" I couldn't help but shook my head just reading the title at the cover page. This hardbounded black book was no doubt a novel, an old novel kaya ba't naman nandito ito? Was Mr. Romero also interested with this piece of crap? With disgust glare at that book, kinuha ko na lamang yong papel na nakaipit dito and then put that book back to the shelf.

Amelia’s POV Later that evening, I sat by the large window of the villa Lucie and I had rented, watching the snow fall in delicate flurries. The fire crackled behind me, casting flickering shadows on the walls and filling the room with a comforting warmth. Yet, despite the cozy atmosphere, my mind was far from settled. Gabby. There was something about her that lingered, something I couldn't shake off no matter how hard I tried. She seemed familiar, but I was certain we'd never met before. At least, not that I could remember.

There was a sharp pain on my wrist as I realized I landed on broken shards of glass. I tried to push up, hoping that Bryan will not come for me yet. I needed a little more time to get back on my feet and fight him off, or at least try. I waited for him to haul me up, but somehow, he didn’t come for me again. I heard his voice… shouting and cursing in the background. But my vision was blurring. The noises around me were slowly fading. And then I felt darkness taking over, and I realized in horror, that this could very well be the end. ***

I love the concept of the chapter titles. The author is smart to tell the tale of the ever after of the couple;the author didn’t stop when Ryder regained his memory & they were back into each others arms. This is the 2nd time I read this story & it never fails to make me believe in everlasting love.

"Okay, listen carefully to this review. I've read your work 'Detective Johnson' twice or is it thrice. Okay, I had a serious exam the first time I came across your work, but I couldn't drop it down. I had to hide my phone in between my textbooks, pretending I was reading. So everyone was like the scholar is reading. And yes the storyline was that tempting. Like it was suspenseful and engrossing," " I used to see myself as one bright mystery buff, but I got shamed and dissapointed, just the way John Grishams books shames me. All my predictions of the killer was totally wrong, I had four suspects but they weren't the killer. I kept guessing, but I couldn't predict right. I found myself racing

This book was a page turner from start to finish, I couldn't put it down once I started. Full of humour and wit, and some of the most ridiculously funny characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. This book is worth five stars and more. Kudos to the writer?

An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

he muttered. "Boss! I saw this! It seems we have another fan here!" Roy yelled and shoved a novel at Shane. It was 'The Cliff'; the latest novel written by Shane's favorite author of mystery novel; Sandy Mills. "Common Roy!" Shane yelled angrily. Roy bowed and threw the book aside but Esther rose up and snatched it out of the air. "It... is… mi..ne!" she stammered and clutched the book to her chest. Shane eyed her and looked away. Their only witness was a bad stammerer. it would be pretty difficult to get her testimony. He thought.

"Oh. Yes. I’ve read it three times, but I find comfort in the end of the world sometimes. It makes my own feel... manageable." A genuine, boyish grin broke across his face. It was the first one I had seen that didn't feel like he wanted to hurt someone. "I’m more of a THE SHINING man, myself.” My heard perked up. “You’re serious?” “Why wouldn’t I be?” I laughed, a small, genuine sound that surprised both of us. "Nathaniel, you like Stephen King? I pictured the Valak men reading war manifestos or ledgers of their enemies."

(Evelyn’s POV) I was sitting in my room when suddenly the air in the room shifted, growing cooler. A familiar shimmer of light appeared before me and when I looked up, my eyes widened. The old lady stood there, her white gown glowing faintly, her smile serene. “Y-you’re here,” I stammered, relief washing over me. I stood quickly, ready to pour out everything that had been weighing on me. “I’m so glad you came. I need to tell you…” The lady raised a hand, stopping me mid-sentence.

よくある質問

When diving into 'The Shining' by Stephen King, critical reviews often highlight the intricate psychological horror that King masterfully weaves throughout the narrative. Many reviewers are captivated by the deeply flawed character of Jack Torrance, a struggling writer who descends into madness, fueled by isolation and influence from the eerie Overlook Hotel. It’s not just about the supernatural; it explores familial disintegration and personal demons, which many critics appreciate. They argue that King's ability to craft tension through everyday situations elevates the chilling atmosphere, making the story relatable and haunting at the same time.

On the flip side, some critique how the pacing can feel slow, particularly in the beginning. It takes a while for the horror elements to kick in. Yet, I found this slow-burn approach adds to the tension, giving readers a deeper understanding of the characters’ psyches which makes the horror more impactful when it does come. Also, the imagery King paints is simply breathtaking; his descriptions often leave a visceral mark on your mind that lingers.

Interestingly, the novel's themes of addiction and abuse resonate deeply with many readers, drawing personal connections. The psychological depth invites endless discussions about the nature of insanity and the effects of isolation. Every page feels layered with meaning, leading to varying interpretations that keep book clubs buzzing long after the final chapter. So, whether you’re a fan of horror or just enjoy a great character study, there’s something deeply satisfying about how King spins his tale in 'The Shining.'
