With a reluctant nod, Eryx said, “Fine. But you follow our lead and stay close. Understand? Now put down that damn thing, baby.” Braylon was reluctant to put the knife down. Though it was a cheap method to handle the males, it worked awesome. Braylon put the knife down, his eyes wavering here and there. Each minute passed was like a thorn on his feet, piercing his life out of his body.

Tristan smiled, his grip tightening on his rapier. Sylas lunged. She didn't run; she blurred. The servos in her armor whined, propelling her forward with inhuman speed. The twin vibranium blades swept toward Tristan’s neck in a deadly, cross-slashing arc. Too fast. Don’t block. Evade. Tristan dropped to his knees, leaning back so far his spine popped. The glowing blades sheared through the empty air where his throat had been a millisecond prior, the heat of the friction singing the ends of his dark hair.

I am leaving it with everything I am owed. Sixteen words. Three years of silence had given those sixteen words a weight that a thousand casual sentences never could have managed. She filed that away. I stepped into him. Dropped my chin. Took the full charge on my left shoulder. The blade came down and hit the diamond chest piece and skidded off the stones and went wide of my throat and in the same second I drove the gun hard up into the gap under his vest and pulled the trigger twice. The shots were quiet against his body. Almost soft. Silas went completely still. His hand opened. The blade dropped. His legs stopped working. Stepped back and he went down. Face first onto the wet black stone. The blade spun away from his hand and settled in the water running across the courtyard.

Blade came out with his usual all black clothing—a big black sweatshirt, a black baggy jean, black glasses, black face cap, black sneakers— and a revolver carefully tucked by his side. To my shock, the passenger door opened and a girl came out. She was obviously young, probably fourteen or fifteen with red hair and a round hazel eyes which peered at me through the glass of the coffee shop. I couldn’t help but wonder who she was and why Blade had decided to bring her along. They both shared words before walking towards the coffee shop. “Emily!” Blade called as he walked inside with his companion right behind him. “I’m right here,” I said waving my hands in the air to draw his attention.

"You thought I was a fool?" She knew it was useless arguing him. "Why are you silent, couldn’t answer?"" "My silence means I am tired of fighting and there is nothing left to fight for, I am tired of explaining my feelings to you but now I don't have the energy to explain them, right now I am on a self healing process and I am trying to forget everything that I ever wanted from you, I have always adapted to the changes in my life and even now I'm going to adjust and I'm not complaining, I am just trying to move on gracefully with all my dignity, I will definitely return your money, sorry and thanks for everything.” with that she walked away tears clouding her vision, rubbing it with the back

Just when he thought she had grown scared of Dylan's extreme silence, he heard the noise of a sharp brushing sound and when he felt something slightly poke him from behind, he knew the turn things had taken. “Don't move,” Rachel threatened… or maybe she tried to with the knife dangerously poking him. “Don't try anything silly, Micheal. The silver blade had been sent skittering across the ice, coming to rest at the very edge of the deep, black, churning water. Silas stood between me and Kaelen, his chest heaving, his posture that of a prehistoric god waiting for a reason to slaughter. His obsidian eyes were burning crimson, a terrifying, radiating heat pouring off his skin that instantly melted the snow falling around him. He didn't look at Kaelen with anger. He looked at him with the cold, scientific curiosity of a butcher analyzing a flawed carcass.
