Heck, I almost wanted to call Lisa but then I remembered she also had her lecture. Just as I was about to turn a corner to the reception, I spotted Chloe and Nick not too far away. Cora’s POV The partition between us was a joke. It was a thin sheet of veneered plywood that did nothing to dampen the sound of Silas’s pen scratching against paper or the rhythmic, heavy thud of his boots shifting on the floor. In the silence of the trailer, the space felt less like an office and more like a confessional.

The house was quiet in a way that felt intentional. Not peaceful. Not calm. Curated. Jordan Elaine stood at the kitchen sink, fingers wrapped around the porcelain edge, staring at her reflection in the darkened window. Outside, the city glowed faintly, and distant headlights, muted sirens, the hum of a world that never slept. Inside, there was only silence. Her back hit the wall inside and the door swung shut behind her and the corridor outside went completely silent. She clawed at the arm across her mouth. She drove her body backward into the wall trying to create space, trying to force any sound through the door to the corridor outside, but whoever held her was bigger and certain and had done this without a single moment of hesitation. The room was dark. The door was shut. And the corridor outside was completely silent. ___

We greet her and i watch as Ian calms down considerably and stares at her star stuck, while Scar looks a teeny tiny bit jealous. We continue talking for a while. A slow song starts playing and Sam asks me if i would be willing to dance with him. I say yes and all of us make our way to the dance floor. Just as soon as his hands wrap around my waist, the lights go out and we hear a gunshot followed by a scream. My blood runs cold and the room turns dead silent for a moment before all hell runs loose. *************************************************************
