I said, then shooed them away. A couple of minutes after they left, while I had immersed myself in the book I was reading, I felt a presence hover over me. Judging from the way the person’s shadow practically covered my entire figure, I could tell it was a man. I put my bookmark on the page I was reading, closed the book, then took off my sunglasses and looked up to see who it was that had decided to disturb my peace. “Colleen Hoover,” he said, reading the name of the author of the book in my hands. “My sister loves her books”.

I was just back from the market, grocery bag in hand, when I spotted them—over a dozen sleek luxury cars crowding the old Hamilton house's driveway. I hadn't seen anything that flashy in years. Laughter and whispers floated over the gates as I got closer. "It's been three years. Bet that 'heiress' looks like a total backwoods mess now." "She's no heiress. Just an orphan mooching off the Hamiltons. Does she really think she's something?"

It's a mystery novel about two mates who find each other while they are both trying to catch the same serial killer that's on the loose.

Right now I am reading a novel called Loving Hayden. It is about two teens who were once archenemies but later became friends with their enemies. Okay, maybe not friends with benefits, more like enemies with benefits. I was eager to see where their relationship was going to lead. I continue to flip through my phone as I read the story. I was so engrossed with the story that I didn't realize how much time had passed. I was disturbed by the sound of a knock at the door.
