She hit send, then looked up — just in time to see Isabella glance toward Andres’s desk. Still no reaction from him. And Pia knew. This wasn’t about food. It was war. Isabella was marking her territory and the woman would do everything in her power to have Andres back. With the grace of a hunter, he pulled a shining knife from his coat, the blade glimmering in the low light. Vee barely had time to react before the steel sank deep into her stomach, the sharp sound of it slicing through flesh like a twisted melody. Max twisted the knife once, then again, a sickening squelch echoing through the room. Vee’s mouth opened in a silent scream, blood already pouring from the wounds, warm and sticky as it soaked her clothes.

I sighed in frustration and averted my eyes when my eyes caught on the large bowl of fruit on the table nearby. And lying there beside it—a knife. My fingers tingled at the thought of that cold metal in my hand. Knife. Only if I could get my hands on it. I could sue it later. Swallowing hard, I took a step toward it, keeping my gaze trained on his back. He didn’t turn, and I edged closer, the knife’s handle now within reach. The moment my fingers brushed the cool steel, his voice cut through the silence making me jump and the knife slipped from my fingers landing with a loud clank on the marbled floor.

“So... you’re the Ghost Knife. The woman with no past. No future. Who sent you ? .” I froze. How the hell did he know? I didn’t flinch. Didn’t speak. That was why he smirked at me?, then I lunged. My knife caught his chest. A clean slice. But he didn’t stagger. He just… smiled. As if the pain was nothing. “Cute,” he muttered, reaching into his jacket. He pulled out a gun. Pointed it at my head. But his finger twitched—to the left. The bullet shattered the mirror behind me.

High quality weave, but distinctively servant colors. A tray of food sat on the desk. Roast fowl. Vegetables. A glass of wine. I ate the meat with my hands. Fast. Efficient. My stomach cramped around the sudden intake of food, but I ignored it. Then, I picked up the knife. It was just a butter knife. Silver-plated with a dull edge. But it was metal. It was a weapon. I slipped it into the waistband of my new pants. Cold against my hip. I looked at the bed. The silk sheets rippled like water under the artificial light.

I saw red and was going to quench it. "I...beg .... please....not...this... knife..." And that's when I see the beautifully engraved knife in my hand. It was something I had never seen. The blade was black unlike the usual and it seemed to be coated with something.The smell sickening but I didn't cared. He has to die. Tightening my grip on the knife, I move it near his neck. "Any last wishes?" I ask. "Please...." "Wrong answer" "Remember the one name that will be written down in pages of history."

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the answers that will satisfy my curiosity. I was about to turn off my laptop, when a link popped up on my screen. Without any hesitations, I opened it. There were only few words listed on this page. It says that there is an unknown author who wrote a mysterious book which contained everything about death, clock birthmarks, soul mates and ill-fated relationships. I spent time searching for it. The title of the book is Hidden and just like it's name, it was nowhere to be found. My mom and dad also accompanied me to the clinic where Callie used to check up but Dr. Alvidarez was no longer there. Same goes to Dr. Montressor.
