… Elena POV… I eagerly opened its pages. As I flipped through the pages, I saw countless diagrams and illustrations of mythical creatures, spells, and potions. I searched through the pages, searching for any hint of a cure for the sickness that plagued my village. The illustrations were detailed, but the writing was cryptic and difficult to decipher. As I reached the end of the book, I came upon a page unlike any other. It was an intricate drawing of a carved stone with strange designs etched into its surface. I gazed upon the picture, trying to make sense of its meaning.

“We’re out of time.” --- The village burned. Flames stretched high into the sky, their eerie golden glow turning the night into day. Smoke rose in thick, writhing columns, the scent of charred wood and ash flooding the air. Vivi stood at the edge of the treeline, heart pounding, breath tight in her chest. They had arrived too late. The village—one of the farthest settlements on their territory’s outskirts—was nothing but ruin now. Homes crumbled into embers, storefronts reduced to piles of smoldering wreckage, the distant cries of survivors barely audible over the hellish crackle of fire.

Kaila noted as she looked around. "Yeah, there's basically nothing to see here." Bryan scoffed. "Well, it's a good thing we aren't here for sightseeing then." I rolled my eyes at them. "Let's find the Inn." Ignoring Bryan's and Kaila's comments, the village was actually quite tranquil and peaceful. There were children running around in the streets, playing without the fear of being hit by an approaching vehicle. Some woman walked past us with baskets of farm produce, chatting with happy smiles on their faces. They even have us free apples and avocados.

ISABELLE’S POV I flip the page of the book with the help of my left hand. The name of the book which I am currently reading is “The tales of Ash Ville”. It is a nice book and it includes the horror stories of the town. It is a fictional book but I like it and has captured my attention. I found this in the library a few weeks back and I thought to read it. Today I saw it in the books which I had not read so I decided to read this one.
