I could feel my eyes dilating as my gums itched. It didn’t take long for my canines to erupt, and I didn’t waste any more time. I gasped for air before dipping my head into his neck and gradually sinking my fangs into his soft spot, deeply piercing his skin and marking what was rightfully mine. ¤¤¤¤¤ RILEY. Nadia was sitting sideways on my lap as we played cards with my sisters, Katarina, Dawson, Sebastian, and Jenny. Darvin retired to bed early. While Caleb hasn’t returned, he was probably with Anya.

Ada pushed open the door and I rushed into the room. The room was dimly lit by lamps, the curtains were closed . A maid was pouring water from a pitcher into a tall glass. Lucian was laying in bed with a blanket pulled up to his chest. One eye was shut ,dried blood had crusted over it, a large bruise has started to yellow , it ran from his eye down to the corner of his mouth. The other one stared blankly at the ceiling above him. A white bandage wrapped around his head.

When his eyes switched from Adam retreating silhouette to mine he calmed down and his eyes turned back into the color we all know and love, but it still wasn’t the same. He turned and walked to his car without saying one word to me. ‘Shit’.

He did not care if there was a bigger plan or if she was his friend for many years. Hayley had done enough havoc. Ethel immediately did as he said and the next second, there was a loud popping and cracking noise and warm blood splattered all over her body.

"Now tell me! Where is Riven?" Caleb gently pushed Layla behind him and used his body to shield hers. His eyes were furious as he glared at the she-wolf that was supposed to be dead. Something wasn't right. He could feel it. For a first, Cara had no scent. The presence of her wolf was gone. And her eyes were different. Gone were the emerald green. Now her eyes were ruby red, looking soulless and inhumane. What the hell had happened to her? How was she still alive?

Hayley dared to look back, only to meet the vampire's red eyes as he hid in the bushes. She quickly looked back around, her heart beating faster. She only heard about the vampire and never met them. And now that she had met one, she was lucky to still be alive. "That vampire, his eyes were red. Only vampires that drink from the vein have red eyes." Carrie said, mostly to herself as she shivered and walked on. (The others with blue eyes were the self-righteous ones, only drinking from blood bags or animals.) There was a sound that caused the two to lose their wits and start running again. They didn't stop running until they reached the closest house in the pack.

Hunter’s POV After the damn horror show of watching Jane feed her sons her own blood, I went to visit Carl in his hospital room. Unlike Jane, he didn’t have any personal belongings on the nightstand, and he was staring with empty, dazed eyes out of the window even when I rapped my knuckles on the open door.

There was no hesitation or remorse in those eyes and I realized that they had no intention of keeping that promise. Liam stood by the car, his eyes cold as he stared at me on the floor. Carl, on the other hand, did not even spare me a second glance. He simply walked past us, plugged his earphones into his ears, and slid into the back seat of another car parked nearby. The sound of the car doors shutting echoed around me, but I remained on the floor. My eyes burned. I could feel the tears etched at the corner of my eyes but I refused to let them fall.

Only a priest's prayers could ensure that Daeleen received my eyes. Onlookers expressed envy, and some were even moved to tears by Samuel's devotion to Daeleen. What they did not know was that the romantic Capo they were admiring had plucked out his own wife's eyes, and that the owner of the eyeballs on display were now lying on a bed, staring into nothing but darkness. There was no painkiller being administered. All the moans from the pain left me panting for air, with only the ventilator to keep me from suffocating.

I tried to look outside; it may seem like a normal day with people walking around but this is all a façade. “Monsters in human form,” I muttered as I continue to stop the bleeding of my legs. “We’re not as bad as you think.” A cloud of dust was blown on my face and suddenly, I lost my sight and felt the urge to close my eyes and sleep. I woke up with a cold feeling on my cheeks, the werewolf with silver eyes is tapping his hands on my cheeks when I opened my eyes. “Convel, you used too much grovel mushroom.” He stopped tapping my cheeks and looked at the man behind him, the man with blue eyes.
