Once I was satisfied that the coast was clear, I slipped through the door and pushed it closed behind me. It was pitch black, but I could tell that I was standing at the top of a staircase. I blinked my eyes a few times to help them get accustomed to the darkness. When I could make out more details of the narrow stairwell, I slowly walked down the steps. At the last step I stuck my head out and peered around the wall. On one side was a dead end, just a brick wall. On the other side though, were two Weres. One was sitting with his head leaned back and his eyes closed. And the other sat scrolling on his phone. This guy is actually sleeping, in the middle of a battle. Seriously, what the fuck?
