The Warded Man Movie Novels & Stories

Or bow to the woman and beg to forgive him and not kill him. "Where have you been?" said Ellen coldly. The woman's gaze darkened as she looked at the man in front of her. "Fr — from the white tiger gang, miss," replied the man, shuddering in fear. Ellen stood in front of the man with her arms folded proudly across her chest. "I do not think if you come from a famous gang. But, why doesn't your guts reflect your gang?" said Ellen with a mocking tone. "Th — that's because—,"

I start helping my teammates get the fire under control; if it were to spread, it would be very dangerous. Out of the corner of my eye, I see the man who informed us about the broken elevators, and I walk over to him. "I wanted to ask you, why was the apartment of the young woman I helped padlocked from the outside?" At that, the man's face distorts, turning into pure terror. "That cannot be. Each apartment can only be locked from the inside. Miss Williams is the owner, and she certainly could not have done it, since you brought her out unconscious."

Except it wasn't empty. A single figure stood near the exit, silhouetted against the weak exterior lighting, waiting with the patient stillness of someone who'd expected them all along. Marcus's radio crackled again, this time with a voice Ryan recognized instantly from the underground corridor, calm, measured, and utterly without mercy. "Going somewhere, Warden?" Griggs said, stepping fully into the light, flanked by two guards Ryan hadn't even seen until they moved. "You really thought I'd leave the one exit nobody's supposed to use unwatched?"

The heavy metal door to my cell slammed open with a deafening clang. I jolted awake, still chained to the steel bed frame by my wrists and ankles. My body was sticky and sore, dried cum cracking on my skin as I moved. The message scratched into the wall stared back at me: “The real escape is inside. Find the others.” Warden Kane stood in the doorway, tall and imposing in his black uniform, a riding crop in his hand. Two guards flanked him, both muscular and expressionless.

I looked up to see Arthur leave the house and feel my phone vibrate in my hand, this time with his call. "Hardy,” I mumbled trying to sound cool when the truth was, I wanted to run and beat him up. “You have the money?” Ward asked, unaware that three of my men were circling him from behind pointing directly at him. "I have you, son of a bitch,” I growled in his ear watching from a distance as he lost his smile and turned when they spoke from behind his back. "Don't make a sound, you're done, Ward."

The layers of dark clouds rolling in from the distance made him panic. “The weather is about to change.” Morrow mumbled this sentence under his breath before he coughed violently and passed out. The servants turned pale with fright and quickly called for medical staff. … On the other hand, Wade had returned to his residence and was standing in the hall with three men in front of him. They were wearing uniformed black steel armor branded with a tiger pattern, black steel helmets, steel-toe boots, and had tiger-patterned sabers at their waists. They were a deadly presence in the hall.

I whisper but I am unsure of my answer. When Faris opens the door and wheels me inside I am shocked at what I see. Ward is lying in the hospital bed with tubes and wires connected to every inch of his body. There is a tube down his throat and a machine is helping him to breathe. Burns cover every inch of his body to the point where he is almost unrecognizable. Faris wheels me closer to the bed and I take Ward's hand in my own and press my lips to his charred skin.

Halfway up, a sound tore through the night—a scream, inhuman and layered, like a thousand voices all speaking at once. Seren froze. “That’s not a howl.” “No,” the stranger said grimly. “It’s worse.” I risked a glance over my shoulder. I wish I hadn’t. The Wardens were emerging from the treeline—tall, skeletal figures draped in tattered shadow, their faces hidden behind masks of hammered silver. Their limbs were too long, their movements wrong, jerking like puppets pulled by invisible strings. And their eyes—if you could call them eyes—were nothing but pits of swirling starlight.

The Wards' faces changed because things seemed to be out of control. As the plainclothes special agents surrounded the area, all the bodyguards brought by the Wards were driven out. Weldon even stepped forward to greet Rustin. "Mr. Hart, you're here too!" Mr. Hart looked at Weldon and smiled. "Yes, I'm here." Weldon grinned and looked around the room, finally fixing his gaze on Jasper. "Arrest this man!" As soon as he finished speaking, and before the plainclothes agents could act, Jasper bolted for the door. However, just as he reached the door, he was kicked back by a plainclothes agent.

What he hadn't expected was that Ward snatched the gun from the man next to him, cocked the hammer and aimed the gun at him. His face suddenly changed, and he begged for mercy, "Mr. Lopez, I was wrong. Please forgive me..." Boom! With a gunshot, a hole appeared in the forehead of the guard. His eyes were wide open, and his body fell backward straight. Witnessing this scene, everyone was terrified. Even Keagan's face turned pale. He clenched his fists and dared not make a sound. It seemed that Ward had cut him some slack by slapping him. Ward didn't even look at the corpse on the ground, and ordered coldly, "Take him away and bury him."
