“You can drop the formalities.” Helion leans against the doorframe with his arms crossed over his white tank top. He’s one of the young ones–twenty-five–full of spite and fire. I was like him once. Ready to burn the world at the slightest inconvenience. That type of man is actually the kind of warrior I want in my ranks. ' My men were meant to endure harsh weather conditions, wars and everything that depicted trouble. Each warrior seemed to possess an ancient wisdom, their irises reflecting a tapestry of battles fought and victories won. With the grace of predators honed by generations of instinct, they weaved through the chaos, their bodies fluid and seamless in their execution. Every lunge, every parry, every swipe of their claws was executed with unwavering precision—a testament to their unwavering resolve and unyielding loyalty to the pack.

We were strong, we were resilient, and we were united in our cause. With a final deep breath, I stepped out into the open air, ready to face whatever lay ahead. our warriors are ready for whatever the enemy packs throw at us. Every warrior knows their position and role to play in this conflict, and they are all working diligently towards their goals without any unnecessary fanfare or grandstanding.

“You too.” She pulled back, meeting my gaze. “You’re not alone out there.” “Neither are you,” I replied, glancing at Kaelen. He nodded once, sharp and absolute. I stepped back, straightening my armor. “Hold the line here,” I said. “Protect the heart of the pack.” She smiled faintly. “Always.” I turned and followed my warriors into the narrowing path between the cliffs. Behind me, the world trembled. Ahead of me—war.

We collided, claws and teeth flashing in the dark. But I was too angry. My rage made me reckless. Marcus took advantage of an opening in my attack and sank his teeth into my back leg. Searing pain sent me stumbling. Then Lila shifted. A silver she-wolf. Beautiful and deadly. They ganged up on me. I was quickly outmatched. Blood poured from a dozen wounds, staining the warehouse floor red. Finally, I crashed to the ground, unable to get up. Marcus and Lila shifted back, looming over me.

My team is scattered throughout the battlefield. Prince Julian gives the signal to start, and the battle begins. I’m fighting off enemy warriors while sending weapons to my warriors and strategically moving them out of the line of fire or next to a peer in trouble. I’m able to do this without thinking about it. It is easy with my warriors since I am already connected to their energy. It is a little more difficult with Prince Julian’s warriors, but I have been able to do it.
