The Billionaire's Flower

The Billionaire's Flower

After being told I was to marry a stranger, I tried to find some clues about the person I was to wed through the loving words that her mother had written about her. How the book got inside the very library we're in, I have no idea, but I do know that the sentiment expressed within those pages may bring comfort to the woman in front of me. “I was going to give it to you on the day of our wedding,” I quietly say as she gazes over the yellowed pages. “But as you well know, that day didn't really go as planned.” Violet eventually shut the book and held it to her chest. Soon after, uncontrollable sobs escaped from her scrunched up face and the silence of the library was filled with the sound of s

A Wedding Vow of Vengeance

A Wedding Vow of Vengeance

“You would think attending a wedding could be enjoyable. But of course, we are only here as legitimate witnesses to babysit under the alias of doing damage control.” “That's what you're worried about?” The gentleman spoke up again, giving the woman a sideways look. “I don't care what anyone expects. I'm here to enjoy myself and I sure hope there'll be some popcorn when all hell breaks loose.” On the surface and to people who were oblivious to the truth, it would seem that two wealthy families were simply tying the knot. But in reality, it was two armies faking a truce with their swords at the ready at the first sight of weakness.

Beyond The Veil

Beyond The Veil

Leaving Kallista staring at the back of his head somehow feeling even more terrible than she did before. **** Kallista stared at the grand iron gates that loomed before her, the complicated yet prestigious Hawthorne crest welded into the center. The gates slowly creaked open, revealing a sprawling estate that seemed to stretch endlessly. She tightened her grip on the wedding dress, her nerves fraying as the car rolled forward.

A Veil of Ash and Glass

She held the dress open like a censer dripping darkness. “You will wear this,” she said quietly, a verdict disguised as instruction. “And you will show him—and the entire school—that nothing happened. That you are untouchable. You will not break. You will not reveal the cost.” Althea stared at the gown. It didn’t look like armor. It looked like a cage draped in shadow.

The Midnight Veil

The Midnight Veil

Charlie stepped toward it and felt her skin prickle, the same electric pressure she felt before a storm breaks. "What is that?" she whispered. "A ward," Wren said. "My mother specializes in them." "You didn't mention she's a witch." "She's not." Charlie gave him a look. "Wren, this is witch behavior." "She's... something else." Before she could demand clarification, Wren lifted his hand and pressed his palm to the veil. The barrier rippled like disturbed water, then parted, revealing a narrow passage of swirling silver light. Wren gestured. "After you."

The Wedding Eve Murders

The Wedding Eve Murders

“Here, they privately made fun of you and did their planning. There are two group chats, and Cynthia’s in this one as well. Only you are absent. Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed the way they treat you?” The screen’s cold blue light shone on my dazed face. Of course, I had. There was no way I could overlook the small offenses they hurled at me. However, I still always considered these people my friends. My voice was hoarse when I said, “I noticed.” “Did you maybe wish, just for a second, that they would get into some sort of trouble? Or that their wedding would hit a snag? Maybe you even hoped that something terrible would happen?”

I Married My Billionaire Ex By Mistake

I Married My Billionaire Ex By Mistake

Elisabeth's POV I used to think the veil was used to add more suspense to the wedding air. I thought it was used to keep the bridegroom on his toes as he awaits his bride but I could finally see the reason. The veil was used to hide whatever pain lay beneath. Whatever shadow was hovering over the face of the bride. As I approached the door with Claude following behind me, dread filled my chest. I wish I had the power to turn back time and I would not have even bothered to take the contract.

Michy, I love your writing style and this story. You are a talented writer. Hilda and Nathan are my favorite book characters. I love the love they share and how they care for each other and others. Thank you for the shout-out in Chapter 897. I am so honored. And you're right about Anthony. :-)

Knight in Shining Suit

Knight in Shining Suit

VEIL: Covers the bride’s face to the groom until he has fully committed to her after the wedding ceremony. I am made of stone. I can do this. I am not giving up! I told myself over and over. I was sitting on the deck of Ryder’s Malibu home. After so many nights I still felt alone, my heart was still broken and every single minute, I ached for the man who swore he would make my ‘ever after’ come true.

I love the concept of the chapter titles. The author is smart to tell the tale of the ever after of the couple;the author didn’t stop when Ryder regained his memory & they were back into each others arms. This is the 2nd time I read this story & it never fails to make me believe in everlasting love.
