When things got broken, we fix it, when a torn paper we buy a new one, when it already cannot be used, we replace it, we can all do something for everything, all our mess can always do something about it, but in reality, in people's lives, not all broken can be repaired over a night, especially if it is a broken soul...a damage heart and mind.

CHAPTER 64: BREAKING DOWN. VIKTOR. I never knew what shattered glass feel like. Honestly no one knows. How hurtful it is. How painful it is. Or how sharp and dangerous it is. I have always broken many things in my life and in my house. Many. I have broken my television when I was angry. I have broken my phone when I am messed up. I have broken glass table, glasses and cups and bottles and much more. Partially everything a house contains.

“I had three children looking at me. Waiting for me to be strong.” He set his cup down on the table carefully. “I know I hurt you.” I turned back to face him. “Do you?” I asked. He swallowed. “Yes.” I walked closer again, stopping just a few steps away from him. “My heart was broken,” I said, my voice steadier than I felt. “Not cracked. Not slightly damaged. Broken.” His jaw tightened. “Can you tell me something?” I continued. He nodded slowly. “If a glass breaks… if it shatters into pieces… can you put it back together and make it look the same again?”

Because even if everything else was broken We weren’t. Not yet.

He had broken her to the core. To her it was so hard to be mended, when a bottle of wine falls to the floor shattering in to tiny pieces, the glasses can't be put together and even if you managed to collect the wine from there; it will be hard to drink it. She was that glass shattered beyond repair.

Two of the chairs have survived unscathed but the others are still in pieces. “Mason can fix that, he'll have it good as new in seconds,” Theo says. “The laptop is dead, we will need to pick up a new one,” Luke drops the battered tech onto the side I'd just cleared. “I have a spare upstairs,” Deacon tells him. “Are you two done out there because dinner is ready and Deacon is not great at fixing things,” Theo shouts out of the broken door. “Thanks, Theo,” D huffs.
