The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then— for the first time— it smiled. A peaceful smile. Then it whispered: "SO..." Pause. Then: "...THIS IS HOW DARKNESS ENDS." A single crack spread across its body. Then another. Then thousands. Golden light poured from every fracture. The horror began breaking apart. Not into ash. Into stars. Millions of tiny lights rising into the heavens. Returning to creation. Returning home. The battlefield watched in absolute silence. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Because they all understood. They had just witnessed the end of the oldest enemy the world had ever known.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

THE DAY I SLAYED MY VAMPIRE LOVER

THE DAY I SLAYED MY VAMPIRE LOVER

"I chose to destroy you." "Same thing," he smiled, and then he began to dissolve, his form turning into a cloud of glowing, digitized dust that spiraled toward the ceiling. Cattleya watched him go, feeling the cold darkness of the deletion wave rushing up to meet her. The walls of the cathedral were fading, the city of Oakhaven was flickering like a dying bulb, and the infinite hallway of canisters”her nursery”was finally, mercifully, turning to black. As the last of the code collapsed, she didn't close her eyes. She waited for the nothingness, a final, defiant witness to the end of the world.

The Midnight Alpha

The Midnight Alpha

Chapter 70: The Scorched Earth The world did not end with a scream. It ended quietly. No sirens. No final broadcasts. No last stand worth remembering. Just silence. It spread slowly at first—like everything else had. Cities went dark, then cold, then still. Forests burned until there was nothing left to consume. Rivers froze or boiled depending on what reached them first—fire or winter. And then… Nothing. From above, the world looked abandoned. A broken sphere of ash and ice, scarred by fire and carved open by war. The places that once pulsed with life—crowded streets, glowing skylines, endless movement—had all been reduced to stillness.

Between Two Worlds

Between Two Worlds

Bella I feel like a lost child seeking help, but there's no one out there who could possibly save me. The world looks scarier than it was before, and I see nothing except its dark side. These aren’t just thoughts; they’re my reality. I'm afraid, not only because of Alex's absence but because my baby, who did nothing wrong, might end up living without a father. As I was walking across the silent road, I suddenly lost my balance. I tried to keep myself standing, but I didn’t have the energy. Just when I felt like I was going to completely fall, I suddenly felt the warmth of someone's arms catching me, and then everything went blurry.

Guardians of the dark world - Deadly desires Book 1

Guardians of the dark world - Deadly desires Book 1

At first, he tried to dismiss it, but then, he remembered a certain phrase in the old, worn book their grandmother had left him and Stella. The book was filled with strange prophecies and strange happenings that had always seemed like stories from another world. But one page in particular haunted him now detailing a shift that was supposed to occur, a sign of something that would come upon a young boy when the time was right. The silver hair was a symbol of the witch's ancient, strange promise of the end of the world.

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

[The Final Resolution] The world didn't end with a bang; it ended with the sound of a thousand children humming a lullaby in a minor key. The sea-cave was a theater of shadows, the "Original" Ivy standing at the mouth of the tunnel like a vengeful saint. Behind her, the indigo children were a wall of black-eyed dolls, their collective presence creating a static pressure that made my nose bleed.

The World isn't as Ugly nor Beautiful as You Think

ßenlong said. "Me either. Or it’s just me who don’t give a shit to the "irregularities" I just said? If only Kartika were here... She might be able to explain it better than I do." Alfi said in his mind. Alfi finds them getting confused. “Exactly, if there’s no any "irregularities" happened, it doesn’t guarantee that the world is not in the threat of calamity. As long as Waku-waku exist, the world will never be ‘safe’.” Alfi said. ”They intend to destroy the world and rebuild it into their very own Utopia.”

How We End

How We End

"I'm impressed." "I want all of you, forever, you and me, everyday." He said, his voice blending with the cold quiet night. "The Notebook." I smiled and nodded. "God, I love that book." "As do I." He smiled back at me. "Okay, um," I pondered. "True love stories never have endings." He thought for a while, "I don't think I know that one." "Richard Bach." I informed him. "Smart guy." He smirked. "Couldn't agree more with him."
