Thank the Gods that I don’t have to go through that hell anymore. I just didn’t care about anyone anymore and slowly they all forgot about me. That’s fine. I may be a broken mess but I’m still here. Still painting my heart out. But in my gut, I know I could and should do better. I always feel like there is more. Like I am only seeing the cover of my own book. I just don’t know how to open it.

As I closed my eyes one last time, I made a wish. "If there's a next life, I wish to never meet them again."

Grace I’m not this kind of person. I’m not this kind of person. I’m not— “Oh my god,” I moaned, cutting off my own thoughts. My fingers moved faster, sliding in and out of me while I rubbed myself shamelessly against the thick bulge beneath me. My other hand was clenched in his shirt, holding onto something, as I drowned in pleasure. Wetness seeped from me, soaking through his trousers, and all I could think was—

But I wish she would understand my views, my feelings and choices and respect them too as I do hers.

No one is here to save me! “You’ll be stuck in a life all alone that’s not worth living”. “Is that what you are, Mom? Even with me here?” The darkness cloys my lungs. It suffocates me. I want it out. I can’t take much more. Cut. Cut. I don’t deserve this. Why can’t anyone just love me? What is wrong with me? Why do I make people hate me? PULL ME OUT! SOMEONE! ANYONE! JUST PLEASE HELP ME! I scream internally, wishing I could scream it at the top of my lungs till my lungs and throat ache.

She said in a sober mood. "Thank you? What for?" "For everything; for still being by my side even when it seems like the whole world is against us." She blinked repeatedly, pushing back the ocean of tears that clouded her eyes. "When I wake up every day and realize that I have you by my side, I muster the energy to keep fighting. Your love for me grows stronger each day; even when I don't deserve it, you still love me…"

He opened his mouth like he had more to say, but only two words came out. "Don't worry." Light broke across the sky. My form dissolved into it, pulled into the warped horizon. When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the real world. Here, I had no parents, no family. I was alone. But for the first time in a long while, I felt safe. The system didn't appear again. Days slipped by until, one night, I had a dream. The world I remembered had lost all its color. Ruined walls and collapsed buildings stretched as far as I could see, with bodies scattered everywhere.
