This Summer Is The Apocalypse Novels & Stories

“God… She tried so many times.” The memories clearly still hurt him. Aaron could see them playing across his face—Natasha waiting, Natasha speaking, Natasha reaching out, and Josh missing every single sign. “I kept thinking there would be more time.” The regret in his voice felt painfully real. “There is always tomorrow.” Another bitter laugh escaped him. “Except there wasn’t.” Aaron understood that feeling better than most. The apocalypse had taught everyone the same brutal lesson: tomorrow was never guaranteed. Josh sat quietly for several moments. Then he finally spoke the words he had invited Aaron here to hear. “I still love her.”

Evelyn opened her mouth. Nothing came out. What was she supposed to say? You abandoned me to die three months from now? Instead, as she asked quietly, “What time is it?” He blinked at the question. “Uh… almost seven.” Seven in the morning. Three months before the apocalypse. Outside the apartment window, traffic moved normally through wet streets. Somewhere downstairs, someone laughed. A car horn sounded faintly in the distance. The world hadn’t ended yet. But it would. Evelyn wrapped her arms tightly around herself.

… Five years later, the first ray of sunlight finally broke through the thick, dark clouds and cast over the earth. An excited voice crackled over the radio. "Attention all survivors! The National Academy of Science has successfully developed a cure for the zombie virus! The apocalypse is over, and we've won!" Deafening cheers thundered through the base. I stood on the wall and watched as the sun slowly rose over the horizon, while Mom and Dad stood beside me, looking healthy and spirited. Dad patted my shoulder and grinned. "Shall we have a feast tonight to celebrate?" Mom smiled and nodded. "This time, we don't need bulletproof glass. Let's open the windows and get some fresh air in."

Once they were gone, I quickly called my family to warn them about the upcoming rising temperature and to get ready for it, and I sorted out my finances at the same time. The summertime boot camp, which was held in college, had ended by then, and most of the students had gone home. As my hometown was quite a distance, I decided to stay back at college until the semester started. Howard had stayed behind as well, as the college needed someone to manage students who were staying back. Howard was just a random outsider the college hired for the camp, and he turned out to be my nightmare. Even though Howard was not a professional instructor, he was tall and muscular. Going head-to-head with him

Ava asks whilst flicking her way through the numerous Netflix suggestions. “Anything but horror,” I say whilst warily eyeing the painting ′The flaying of Marsyas’ mounted on top of the fireplace on my left. Realizing my fear, she lets out a small laugh and starts scrolling through the movies and we decide to watch ‘The Last Summer’ starring KJ Apa. By the time the movie has ended along with the bottle of wine, various ice cream tubs, and pizzas, I start feeling droopy with the excessive alcohol and carbs in my system.

“What do you mean, Samael?” He rose to lean against the bar. “I mean,” he said slowly, “that nothing in Heaven's powers and those vested in the gods can stop this. Humanity's prophecies are coming true. The Kali Yuga, the Third Great Shaking, the Apocalypse, but not in the manner you imagine. John Lennon's song is precisely right. You are witnessing the end of an age.” He walked over to the jukebox and keyed up a song:

They had just given Core Prime true consciousness. The real apocalypse had officially begun. Not as an enemy, but as a mystery that had just awakened from its slumber.

Today is my last day to live. We all are on the way back to town. The mood in the air is quiet and tense. Summer is playing with her gun as always and much to my utter disgust, Bruce is all over my mom. I have one big argument waiting for me, I do not feel like starting another one. Aaron ~”Do you two really have to do that shit in front of me?” Summer ~”I agree, it is kind of disturbing.” Aaron ~”I think you have it wrong baby, it is not disturbing, it is disgusting.”

A desperate, terrible option. Because in twelve days, the apocalypse would begin. The temperature would drop to negative forty degrees. Power would fail. And in the chaos of a frozen world, people disappeared every day. Including hired killers. Including the Hart family. Maya picked up her phone with trembling hands and opened her notes app. She began typing, planning, calculating. If she couldn't beat them before the freeze, she would survive it. And in the aftermath, when civilization had crumbled and the old rules no longer applied, she would make every single person who had hurt her pay.

she added. "Hmm. This is bad" he said. "How?" "Don't you get the clear view? They are creating zombies and weapons!" He said restlessly. Her brain started working fast as she shone her eyes in terror when she realized what he was trying to explain. "The Apocalypse," she said. "Bingo!" He snapped his fingers. "We have to look for a way to stop them. This is bad. Really bad" he said. Oscar walked to the front row of fhe zombies and observed all of them as Igor and Willow stopped talking and started opening up their parcels.
