“Is it?” Meredith looked at her husband for help, but she sighed and glanced back at Alice when she saw that he was avoiding her gaze. “The point, Al, is that Thomas is a nice boy. It would be best if you tried to talk to him. He doesn’t know anyone in the school, so it’s just right that you’d be friendly towards him.”
Alice doubts that he would be alone the moment he stepped right through the gates. He’s a Saint Clair; students would want to be friends with him. He certainly does not need her.
