Thalen’s fingers brushed hers as he restrained the enemy, the intimate touch sending another spark of heat through her. When the traitor was subdued, Aella and Thalen stood side by side, bodies pressed close, forbidden desire simmering even as the forest whispered warnings. Around them, the Heartwood pulsed, aware, alive, protective and silent observers could sense the bond that had only deepened in the crucible of danger. “Tonight,” Thalen murmured, lips brushing her temple in a fleeting, forbidden kiss, “we will hunt the rest. And then… we decide what comes after. Desire, betrayal… the Dominion.”

So perfect.” He murmurs.

She chuckled, the sound rich with anticipation, "Well, I just want to help her romance along." Nyxios raised an eyebrow, both amused and impressed by Thalana's enthusiasm. "You seem eager." "Of course," Thalana replied, checking her weapons one last time. "What could be more entertaining than helping you tame your human?” Together they left the Melanthor, two predators moving with silent purpose through the twilight streets of Limdrion. Nyxios felt the thrill of the hunt rising in his blood, a primal excitement he rarely indulged. Beside him, Thalana practically vibrated with anticipation, her former role as a guard reawakening with every step.
