Rendall marched until he reached his room and closed it. Since Rendall’s still taking a bath, I decided to go out and look at the lake. Every morning, fogs come out and the lake looks mysterious with the fog on top of it. Today, the sun is covered by dull clouds and it can’t seem to find a way to make the world blind by its beam. I was suddenly reminded of the day I first killed a werewolf. The atmosphere is the same and fogs are also everywhere. During that time, all I had in mind is to hunt and kill, bring fear and hear them plead. After that, a different kind of satisfaction came across me.

AS I STEPPED INTO the hallway, the pitch-black paint nearly left me in the dark, but I was used to it and soon enough my eyes adjusted to the lighting. Curved into the walls were vines decorated with spikes. The carvings are as pitch black as the wall itself, so anyone who got too close to the wall would be sliced open by the spikes. I wasn't looking at the spikes, though, but at the things hanging from them. Thousands of little objects hung from the spikes: necklaces, bracelets, watches, etc. I took every piece from a corpse the Nightmare Master forced me to massacre.

Just the right combination for a perfect horror story. Ironically, this is what I pictured whenever I read a thriller or a mystery novel. It's in a situation like this the murderer will come to the heroine, hiding his weapon stealthily under his coat. You will read further with your heart pounding behind your chest as if you want to warn the heroine or the main character, hey look out. As if god is granting my wish, I saw an obsidian shadow nearing me in a very suspicious manner. My eyes flew open, fearing my life. This is not how I expect my life to end. Taking trembling step backwards, I looked around. Someone help me, please.

I can say all of this because the distance between us is great. With every word I say, I keep moving back. I apologize that this book is really short with less than 30k words in all. I plan to edit it at some point and make it better. I figured that a really long Horror book might be less interesting and would just seem drawn out. I've not read a lot of them but I watch horror movies so I wrote this like I would picture an Horror movie. I appreciate all those who stuck with me and read Reincarnation regardless. Thank you all. I don't know what compelled me to open my eyes. Probably the breathing on my face smelling faintly of jam, but regardless, I now understand why horror movies with children in them are, without a doubt, the most terrifying films of all. There is nothing quite like a silent child staring at you while you're sleeping or even worse, to wake up to. Some questions come to mind pretty fuckin' quick. Like how long have you been standing there watching over me like one of the ill-fated Grady sisters in The Shining?
