“What the hell is going on?” she shrieks, waving her hands around. She looks like she has been crying. Mascara streaks mark her cheeks, and her blond hair is messy. Her red dress is wrinkled, and her handbag keeps slipping down her arms as she throws them around dramatically.
Oliver narrows his eyes, not flinching at her shrill voice.
“I suggest you go and find out for yourself. Robert’s in there and will give you the details,” Oliver says coldly. There was no hint of emotion in his voice, his body rigid against mine.
