That is the strangest thing I have ever thought in my life. That familiar itch starts to spread across my neck, down my chest to my stomach. It itches so bad, I pull up my shirt and when I do, I scream out into the empty dark room that is lit only by the moonlight and a single nightlight over by the entrance. Daring to look down again, I see that where I had just scratched, is a gaping wound and there is a maggot crawling out of it. I hear a noise from behind me and when I turn on my heels, I watch as the same man from before stands about a foot taller than I am and is staring right into my eyes. He opens his mouth and states, “You have finally awakened. Good.”

The restaurant usually opens by 7:30AM, it would be a very long time but I have no choice. I heard a slight movement, I grew scared, I thought this place was unnoticeable, the movement was getting closer....what could be moving at this time of the night, no scrap that, this time of the day. ZF-BOSS, still recording, nearly short-circuited. Mmmph... Satiated Monster! Indomie, the Monster Conqueror! This is... this is... The Most Delicious Apocalypse! The Titan Freak suddenly collapsed to the floor with a loud THUD!

The cavern echoed with a low, menacing rumble as the titan shifted its enormous form. Its crimson eyes, burning with rage, fixated on Maya and Kael, who stood like gnats trapped in a spider's web. The knowledge they gleaned from the mural offered a glimmer of hope, but the sheer power radiating from the entity threatened to extinguish it. A distraction was needed – a way to buy precious seconds while Maya completed the binding ritual etched into the remnants of the ancient altar. But who would be the one to face the titan's wrath head-on?

"Fair." Then the ground exploded. The Titan rose. It towered above the kingdom. Its body was covered in ancient armor, but beneath that armor was something far worse. There was no face. Only a smooth black surface with dozens of glowing eyes scattered across it. Its enormous mouth opened. The sound that came out wasn't a roar. It was thousands of voices. Every person who had ever died. Every warrior. Every wolf. Every forgotten soul. They all screamed at once. Emily covered her ears.

I needed to feed my monsters or there would be consequences. “Hi, handsome. Would you like some company?” I turned and saw an attractive blonde standing next to me. Perfect. I thought to myself. She wasn’t my usual but she would do. So I started my game again. Within thirty minutes she was walking out the door with me. We walked over to my car and I held the door as she climbed in. I smiled to myself as I climbed into the car and drove her to her death. This wasn’t how I wanted the night to end at least not with this woman but it would hold off my demons for now.

She didn’t turn. He howled in pain and to lift her exhausted body. “Savannah,” he shook her, and in rage, for not getting the wolf he was waiting for, he bit her shoulder blade to taste her blood. It was back to normal human blood, not emitting an ounce of heat that was driving everyone crazy. “Who are you?” She questioned with her half-opened eyes. “You are my possession,” Titan growled. It crawled. "Target... active..." it skipped. It was dragging itself toward me. I reached for my railgun. It was gone, lost in the fall. I reached for my sidearm. The holster was empty. I had my knife. An obsidian blade, six inches long. The Titan was ten feet away. It was leaking violet fluid that hissed where it touched the star-metal. "You... don't... quit," I murmured. "Mission... parameters... absolute," the Titan said.

I didn't recognize myself or the monster I'd become. But then a shadow larger than both of us, covered the sun. A massive, midnight-black wolf slammed into my side, shoving me off Indira. Titan. I howled in frustration, like a hungry child whose food had been forcefully taken away. He stood between us, his hackles raised, a low rumble in his chest that shook the very earth. He wasn't attacking, and he didn't look like he was protecting Indira. What is he doing?! I thought with frustration.

"It’s time to show Peony what happens when the 'shadows' and the 'grit' finally stand together." The Titan roared to life, its massive engines echoing through the subterranean graveyard of Metro City. The harvest was entering its final, desperate phase, and the "losers" were finally bringing the fight to the enemy’s heart.
