This thing was big, industrial-looking, like the kind of cooler you’d find in a butcher shop. Cassius stepped aside, giving me a clear view. The lid was cracked open, cold air hissing out in little white clouds, and inside... It was Kane. The great alpha. The guy who taught me everything I know, who I’d fought beside more times than I could count, who I trusted like a brother. His body was crammed into the cooler, surrounded by frozen food and ice like he was nothing more than another piece of meat. “What will you choose?” I walk along the wall, knowing exactly what I’m after, and proceed to take a katana down from the wall. Traditionally, katanas are forged using Tamahagane, but this particular sword is forged using bloodstone, a specific gemstone that upon contact, can weaken any sanguidae. It’s also the only substance that can kill them. To successfully kill a sanguidae one must cut out their heart using bloodstone, as it stops the heart from regenerating.

The blade shined, devoid of blood, and freshly sharpened. A terrified breath whispered out of me, but I was stunned to speak. The entire room spun on its side, blurring my vision. "No," Thane replied, taking a healthy gulp of his drink. His adam's apple bobbed, taking his time to respond. "We're not killing her."

He spun his gun at me, which I easily dodged and kicked away, sending it flying to the other side of the room. He was taken aback by what I did, but he quickly draws his katana from his back, which I hadn't seen earlier. Well let's see if who's better when it comes in handling katana. Caesar continued. "Are you ready to pay them back for what they did to you?" He asked her, and just as I had expected, she nodded, hypnotised. "Very well, my little kitten." He continued to stroke her hair and then kissed her forehead before he handed her the knife. Then he instructed her.

She was 21 while I am 23. I trained her when she was 6 and I am 8 years old. She always followed me since we were kids and I treat her like my younger sister.
