They pulled up an extra chair for me and proceeded to chatter on like I'd been their best friend forever. It was a little freaky, but pretty awesome at the same time. Though I admit after about a half hour of giggling over the latest movie star or peering at fashions I'd never be caught dead in on the screens of their iPhones, I was feeling a little overwhelmed. "Don't look now, but there's the Dumont brothers."

Later that afternoon, Max got some shut-eye and had just awoken and was doing push-ups alongside the bed when Donnie poked his head in. “Yo, Batman, as nice as it is to ogle your ripped, bare-naked chest before dinner, I have some news.” Max gave Donnie a rude sign as he bounced up and grabbed a shirt. “A man takes one small nap in twenty-four hours and this is what he gets? What do you have?” “Omar Salib,” Donnie answered with a grin.

She turns to see where I was. “Come on Killian!” She shouts over. I hurry towards her, Dad and Lockie whilst ignoring the freaky looking me over on the yard. Knock, Knock How typical Donnie answers the door. “Hi Mr. and Mrs. Saunders! Hey Lockie, Kil.” He says excitedly. “Hello Donnie, are we OK to come in?” my Mum asks politely. Donnie nods and let everyone through. As I go to follow of course Donnie stops me in my tracks.

He yanked Donnie up, slammed him back—harder, brick shredding skin through fabric. “No one,” Donnie rasped, voice shattering; he was done—Luca’s eyes were death, unblinking. “Just him—swear it.” His legs gave, but Luca pinned him, a hunter savoring the snap. One last hit—fist to the temple—and Donnie collapsed, rain pooling red around him, a groan lost in the storm. Luca crouched low, voice a hiss. “You’re done, Greco.” He stood, boots splashing off, leaving Donnie a broken heap, the rain swallowing his fade.

My eyes fell to the uneven bruises scattered across my arms before my gaze darkened. "The Donna?" I echoed. Matteo heard the sarcasm in my voice, but he couldn't care less. "Three lives aren't enough to atone for your adultery. What would the Famiglia think of me if I let you go unpunished?" He fell silent for a brief moment as his gaze settled on me. "One year of punishment in exchange for a lifetime as the Donna. It's a fair deal," he said calmly. With that, he casually tossed me a black card. "Go and buy something you like. Think of it as compensation."

The way they had stopped whatever they were talking about and paid attention to him surprised me. They were talking about some mafia stuff and I stood there looking like a lost puppy I still hadn't come to terms with the fact that my life was now constantly in danger because I was married to the mafia don. I don't think anyone could. "And who is this little piece of candy that's been standing here ?" A man spoke up causing everyone to look at me and I just stared at my own two feet. "She's not important" I looked at Julius with wide eyes. "So I can go show her some moves on the dance floor?"

Donnie showed me yellow and blue plasters and I rubbed his hair affectionately. "Let's go with blue." I could only look at him after all those adorable lines that touched my heart. I'm still thinking about what I should do after this. "Do you love Zeke so much?" "Hmm." Donnie finished putting the plaster on. Packed everything and sat down next to me. "Hey, do you love Zeke so much?" I repeated the question since he didn't answer clearly. "If I say too much, will you hit me?" Donnie replied with a smile. His answer makes it clear. Donnie has been attached to Zeke's side ever since we stayed here. He must be no different from me. There's no easy way out of this situation.

Doug and I said and we laughed loudly. “I'm just glad that my brother is doing all these with you, Mikey.. I mean you both haven't even kissed yet, right?” I asked. They stared at each other and avoided my gaze. “What?!!! You both.. What?” “Okay.. I mean it's normal between us since we are..” “Shut the hell up, Mikey, Mateo.. We are good, okay? Do not worry about anything and do not stress yourself, okay? I.. You know me.. No one can mess or fuck me up.. They might end up in a body bag if they dare..”
