"Raphael, this is between my Ramon, so it's better to leave it to me." I said slowly, "He's the children's real father no matter what..." Raphael stared at me for a few seconds without saying anything else. He sighed slightly and took out his cell phone. I didn't know what he was going to do and was a little confused. He made a call and said something. Soon, several sedans drove up. A group of men in black got out, put their hands behind their backs and stood in a line. Raphael had them patrol the neighborhood every half hour. Then he had them take the two men who had been placed in the basement.

I look over to Zack, "What about school? What about his parents? He can't go back, now." Zack leans back in his chair and shakes his head, "Yeah, we need to figure a few things out," he rubs his palms together, "the good thing is, Gideon has already been assigned as his Watchman. He should be safe for the time being," he straightens up, suddenly serious, "unless he goes to the cemetery." "Who the hell is Gideon? And, why can't I go to the..." Zack clears his throat, "Gideon is one of our best Seraph Warriors and he's also been briefed on you and your family." He answers as Skylar's face drops a little.

Chapter 12 Ariana's P.O.V. "In a few minutes, you will be meeting the Alpha, and your security access will be set up after that.” A towering man with a hoarse voice said from the doorway. I looked up at him and nodded in acknowledgment. His name was Raphael. Unmistakably one of Andre's feared shadow guards. I stepped farther into my room, my gaze sweeping over the space. Everything was black and grey, just like Andre's quarters. A perfect replica. I sighed.

Raphael is still there when I step out onto the balcony. He hasn't moved. Wings folded, silver hair undisturbed by the wind, looking like a statue. The moonlight does genuinely unfair things to his face. I pull out a card and hold it toward him. "In case you ever need anything, senpai." He doesn't take it. "Could you pass it to the Throne Angel for me, then?" Not even a blink. I start to pocket it, already writing him off, when he says, "I'm Raphael Sterling. Cherubim awakening."

He walked back to me Laurent, then crouched in front of him again taking his cigarette in his left hand. “How about we start over?" He held out his hand. “I'm Raphael Alvarez." Mr Laurent frowned, his eyes shifting from his hand back to his face. “Go on, take it." Raphael urged. “I am Ronan Alvarez's useless brother. But most importantly…" he paused. “An acquaintance of Atlas Ferdinand." Silence. No one spoke for the next few seconds. Then a snort was heard. The men standing behind seemed to hold their breath as they looked between the men for where the found had come.

“What the fuck did you do?” Daniel’s eyes flitted to the hallway just moments ago, two of Rapha’s men stood there like sentinels, while the others, still bloodied and staggering from the earlier ambush, reeled behind him. “She wasn’t yours to protect.” Rapha eyes didn't leave the tablet in his hand, as the screen spilled cold, clean light on his face. His thumb scrolled with infuriating calm like Daniel was just a petulant child throwing a tantrum he’d grown used to tolerating.

Now that I knew he wasn't here for a fucking dance, I felt all too exposed with him seeing me like this. “And how do you plan on achieving that? I still have less…” He checked his watch. “...than thirty minutes before you guard dogs come looking for you. Wouldn't want my money going to waste, would you?” He taunts, flashing his fangs wickedly. “You can take your money and shove it up your ass.” I retorted. I was fucking angry. Raphael had easily agreed without even properly checking to know who he was. As long as money was involved, all rational thoughts flew out of his head.

If she shifts, exhales or so much as coughs suspiciously, I’d like to be informed.” I texted him. He replied quickly and when my eyes looked up to his, he nodded again.

The way he looked, the way he carried himself, so simple, yet one could tell he was a billionaire. He had long hair, the same length as Ian’s, only his was blonde. That’s when Fatima noticed the shape of his nose, straight and pointy, just like Ian’s. It was like looking at Ian’s twin brother. “My name is Raphael. But you can call me Raph. Nice to finally meet you,” he introduced himself, taking Fatima’s hand to his lips, which she hadn’t even realized she had given him, as she was too shocked just looking at him.
