Toby Quest Fable 2 Novels & Stories

He didn't close the door all the way. I waited until I heard the bedsprings creak. Then I walked over to the couch. I stood in front of Toby, blocking the light from the window. He looked up at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "You're playing a dangerous game," I whispered. "I know," Toby said, his voice dropping to a husky whisper. "But I can still feel you leaking out of me, Daddy. And it's making me hard again." He reached out and brushed his hand over the front of my jeans.

If she didn’t know better, she could almost find herself being moved by their performance. Toby, however, couldn’t care less what they had to say. He only had one request: “Since we got the wrong bride, I’m giving you twenty four hours to find Stacy and bring her back”. Only then would the beautiful Jane Fitzergald belong to him.

Chad found it even more unbelievable since Toby claimed to have given him that set of medicinal herbs. Chad asked, "How did you get the entire set of ingredients for the chimera pill?" Toby grinned and looked at his legs, and it was only then that Chad noticed he was still sitting in a wheelchair. Chad suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to heal him the last time he left Orcreek. However, Toby had injured his muscles and bones, and forcibly setting the bones might not restore them to their original condition.

"The red truck is on the rug," Toby said. He didn't move from his spot near the corner of the small pine coffee table, his fingers curled tight around the tail of Maya’s stuffed rabbit. His small knees were locked, his dark eyes wide and unblinking as the heavy oak front door swung inward, letting a sharp gust of cold mountain fog roll across the linoleum.

I remember handing Toby a dry coat during the winter storm three months ago when he was just a wet, shivering recruit. Now here he was, selling our blood to Selena for a handful of dirty promises. "Is that the whole plan?" I asked, my voice cold and steady. "Or are there more of you?" "That’s all of it! I swear on the Goddess!" Toby cried out, his legs shaking so hard his boots scraped the rock. "She’s waiting for my signal torch at three in the morning! If the light doesn't show, she strikes at dawn anyway!"

"Dagger has throne! Small throne white-gold that glows faintly! Sixteen thrones!" Old houses knelt, holding gifts for sixteen — blanket of white-gold snow for dagger, night-light for dagger, wind chime that sings six languages now. "We tried to kidnap baby blood heir with black ice dagger that bleeds," Lady Frostfall said, kneeling. "We held dagger that bled. Now sixteen thrones, dagger that bled now sits small throne white-gold that glows faintly, learning small, not stabbing. Four can play works, sixteen can play works."

"Never." "No. Not a puppet," he said, his hands still held on tight on her shoulder. His eyes widened with excitement. This was it. He would finally be another step closer to his goal. "You are going to visit Helen, hear her out. Listen," he said, calling her already divided attention. "Hey, hey, Lord Tobin is powerful and we can't do anything to stop him. But who else is more powerful than even Lord Tobin himself?" He asked and didn't even needed to hear her say out her reply. "Exactly. You can do this, I just know that." He straightened his posture and added a little seriousness in his glare, then he brought his hand to his stomach as he lowered his neck to a bow. "Your majesty." Fiora's e

he said "stay away from Lucy, this is between the both of us" I said "okay fine but I want you to introduce me to her" he said "why should I", I asked " don't play that game with me unless you want me to blow your cover" he said " okay fine is that all you want?", I asked "as her father", he replied " what the hell!!!", I cursed " are you crazy" I asked "that girl is almost sixteen" I said

He squinted at the massive silhouette in the doorway. "Mommy?" Toby’s voice was a tiny, sleepy whisper that cut through the air like a knife. "Is that the big wolf?" Killian made a sound then: a low, wounded noise that came from somewhere deep in his soul. He didn’t move toward them, but the way he looked at Toby was like a man watching a miracle happen right in front of him.

“What are you doing Toby?” “I’ve been a soldier for most of the last five years,” he replied inspecting the kitchen cupboards and drawers with a different purpose to Meguitte, who had selected the bowls, pots, and utensils that she had set upon the bench. Toby’s interest was on the knives and big pans, testing the sharpness and judging the weight in his hand thoughtfully. “It’s the only thing I’m good at. I can think like a soldier for you, Aislen,” he flushed slightly. “And make sure that these warehouses are defensible. Ideally, we will escape notice, but if they do locate us, I want us to have a way to hold them off and a way out to safety.”
