“There was a shadow. I thought Kael saw it too, but he didn’t. It started humming this tune. The same tune Naomi hummed when she was in the vents right before she died. And I tried to fight it off, but I couldn’t move. It felt… beautiful, almost. Familiar, like an old friend.”
