"That's really nice," Tommy said, looking genuinely touched as the boys started unpacking their offerings onto the bedside table. "Thank you guys. I've actually been pretty bored."

I sighed and rubbed my neck, "And I know you loved your wife very much. And I hope one day you will find a mate that will ease your pain Brother." Noah nods and pats my shoulder, "I get it, Xander. I do." My ears perk up as I hear a twig snap in the distance. Noah and I are both on edge as we stand ready to fight. My eye catches the bush beside the tree shaking. I'm about to charge and attack, but I stop when I see who came around the tree. "Eddie?" He's lost a lot of muscle. He's got bruises and whipping lashes all over his body. He drops to the ground and reaches out his hand.

Lisanna said. "Are you all right, Tom? I see your face is very strange. Do you need me to call Edan to examine you?" Edan is Tom's personal doctor, so Lisanna completely trusts Edan's knowledge and talent. Rich people like Dominic and Tom have their own brilliant doctors. If Tom has Edan, Dominic has Elmer. They are all excellent doctors. Tom sighed, a wry smile appearing on Tom's face. He said. "My health is fine, you don't have to call Edan. He's very busy. I'm just a little tired because the amount of work is quite a lot. I just need to smoke a cigar, and the mood will be fine. Don't worry too much about me."

Tommy will choose me. The pack elders form a circle around the ceremonial bonfire. I spot Tommy standing near his father, Alpha Xander, and my breath catches. "I don't trust Xavier in this matter," said Edward, his tone indicating his skepticism. "He is an alpha," Adam argued, remaining firm. "He is also the husband of this criminal," said Edward, his voice bitter. "He was an Oak before that," Adam said matter-of-factly, recalling their Alpha's previous position. Edward's frustration was visible in his low growl. He eagerly anticipated the opportunity to end my life, but Adam stood in his way, keeping him from acting on his terrible urges.

I imagined Tom hurt, bleeding out in some warehouse surrounded by women in cages. He grinned. “I’m not scared.” “Why are you so dedicated to being the hero all of the sudden anyway?” Edward asked. Tom met my eyes, that same surety in his green gaze. “Because it’s about damn time I started making the world a better place. I’ve got enough fucking money already. I need something more.”

“So you’re the Mr. Roland who’s been sharing my wife with me?” His voice was cold and dangerous. The man coughed, his lips trembling. “What? That’s not my name,” he stammered. Alex stopped pacing and frowned. “Oh really?” He gestured to one of the men. “Search his wallet.” The man obeyed quickly, pulled the wallet from the man’s pocket, and handed it over. Alex snatched it and flipped it open. His eyes narrowed. “Tom Xander,” he read aloud. “Occupation: Artist.”
