Diana went down like a bag of potatoes as his screams echoed the mangrove moor. Tommy saw his good eye turn up and the goblin suddenly halted, dropped into the wetland, and then dropped dead at their feet. Tommy was trying to massage his throat and get his breath back. He snapped at Celestina, “Why did you just stand there little girl, help me!” He let out matter-of-factly, “call for some help, get me a fucking blood?” Scooping Diana on his arms, Tommy walked like a poppet, his mind wanting to weep and scream. His mate was dead, he stabbed his best friend and he saw Celestina's devilish smile.

It laughed so hard that even some of the crying stopped — people freezing mid-sob, stunned by the sheer insanity of the sound. Horrified screams and whimpers followed, just before a bulk body hit the floor with a meaty thunk.

By the time he finally came back to his senses, Amy's face had already turned purple and blue. When he loosened his fingers, she collapsed limply to the floor. Tommy had strangled Amy to death. He knew then that his life was completely over. When the police arrested him and took him to prison, he asked to see me and Finn one last time.
