"Should I continue?" "Of course! I am listening to everything you have to say about authors. I want you to mention more authors you have inside that brain of yours. Mention some African authors or some South American authors." "I love Gabriel Garcia Marquez' work," Blackwheel continued. "I love the style, composure and tempo he provides. It excites me a lot even though I have read only, 'One hundred years of solitude.' Then, there is Buchi Emecheta for her touching romantic voice. Then there is African great writer, Chinua Achebe who has provided the platform for other great African writers to showcase their talent and skill in writing. Then, there is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for her modern

FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS

FOREVER BOUND IN DARKNESS

Our connection strengthens with each shared story. We discover common ground in music, movies, and books. I couldn't help but wonder if this was the same man acting tough a few minutes ago. "Favorite author?" Lucas asked. "Gabriel García Márquez," I replied as I smiled, remembering some of the other authors that I love. Authors like Chinua Achebe who is from Nigeria. An African country. Lucas's eyes light up. "Love One Hundred Years of Solitude." Lucas stands, stretching. "Want to grab some fresh air?"

Tragedy of the African Cinderella (BlackBook 3)

Welcome to unedited Black book 3 of the Woods series. This book can be read independently. You can read it without adventuring into 'Married to a stripper'. I'll be extremely happy if those who haven't checked that book out do so. I hope you enjoy my works. Love you guys much much. Your humble author Zagzahzlau. ~••~ The Sunday night was frigid against unarmed skin in Buea--the city of legendary hospitality-- located in the southwest region of Cameroon.

MAY

MAY

"You see all those famous Nigerian authors like Chimamanda Adichie, Lambert Ototo, Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka. They all started by learning and understanding the smaller things. Understood?" She smiled, her one-sided dimple appearing, "Yes." "So to start, I will buy you Queen Premier. That's your level." She hugged him. "Thank you, Uncle." ............ "And I know I say it a lot but thanks again for today, the food., the ride..." "Don't mention, May." He told her. "But you haven't still told me what you want to do with a full bag of oranges." She only smiled, ignoring his question. They all got out of the car that was parked in front of May's house gate. Iby opened the back

The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful

Nice book. I love how it treats domestic issues prevalent in a lot of Nigerian homes. I also love how the book doesn't glamorize abuse like other pics I've read in this genre. Seeing as the author is a girl from Bayelsa, it gives me joy that she adds elements of her background in the story.

Agbai said. "His lifestyle or morals has nothing to do with his economics," I said. "Okay, I agree with you on that one. Um... You said you read Nigerian books, which one have you guys read." "Chimamanda's Purple Hibiscus, Americana, a whole lot," I said. "But I like Wole Soyinka's A Dance In The Forest and..." I paused to think of the other book. "Things Fall Apart," Raymond added. "Yes, that's it. Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart." I said.

I've never read any of them. It was only after he spoke that I realize he was behind me. I thought he was still sitting on the bed. I run my hands over the book, my eyes catching the titles, A fresh Start, For Mbatha and Rebecca, Agony in get voice, Felicia, The betrayal, for better for worse, Evbu my love... I pulled Evbu, my love out. It's actually my best pacesetter novel. I flipped through the pages and sniffed it.

Till I Met You

Till I Met You

Joni got a piece of paper and quickly scribbled something on it then subtly passed it to him. "You didn't have to... but thanks." The note read. "You're welcome." He muttered. "Next class, we're going to study African literature. Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Adichie so everyone must have a copy of it." She informed them as the bell rang. "Don't come to my class if you don't have it." "Is it available in the book store?". One of the students asked. "Not yet but I'll talk to the principal about it." She answered.

CROOKED: In love with my cousin's boyfriend

I walked away clapping and glancing at the audience who had watched our little show, then finally headed toward the book and craft stalls, which were precisely what I had come for. I entered an aisle of large blue and black shelves holding countless manuscripts. I managed to buy several, and surprisingly, at the end of the landing, there was a section for the international community with books translated into multiple languages. I didn’t hesitate to pick up titles in English and Spanish, thrilled to see works by Canadian author Sylvain Reynard and South Americans like the great Ernesto Sábato, the trilogies by young Carlos Da Silva, the series by the wonderful Venezuelan writers Miriam Meza

when it comes to gist and details about her life so she left no details when she was telling her about Ohio, they sat and talked for almost an hour before other students of literature started coming in, they knew their class was about to begin so they ran for the front seat so they could get a better glimpse of there lecturer and a better view of everybody who was giving an opinion on the book to be reviewed. Stephanie wondered what literary work they would be reviewing that day. She anticipated it like a person who was waiting for the lottery to be won. "Calm down sis, you would soon know what we will be reviewing" Mirabel teased. In a few minutes, the lecturer came in and started the clas
