The Rejected Luna
He only looked at her, eyes gleaming like the edge of a blade.
The spilled wine began to smoke, the colors twisting together, forming a dark mist that rose between them. It shimmered, alive , whispering words neither of them could quite understand.
Roman reached out, his voice low. “Step back.”
“What is it?”
“The bond,” he said quietly. “It’s waking up.”
The mist pulsed once, twice , then shot upward, disappearing into nothing.
When the silence returned, Luna could feel it , something deep inside her shifting, stirring.
