Tracing A Drop Of Blood Through The Heart 소설 & 이야기

The dagger is clearly still lodged in his chest. I try again, as slowly as possible, but to no avail. So I try pulling a bit harder, but still nothing. It’s as if it’s stuck in there. When I tried pulling very hard, the monitoring machine starts beeping. “His heart rate is increasing,” which means he’s pumping more blood than he needs to. If this continues, we’ll end up with him bleeding out, and he’ll probably lose more blood than necessary. We’ll have to stop and deal with the bleeding first.

“Not enough red, need more red.” “There is nothing red,” one of the doctors say. “The top of the red is best. Need 12 beats,” Zachary smiles at Terry. “Blood, you need blood?” Terry asks. “Twelve beats,” Zachary holds out a silver knife and his own hand. “You need 12 drops of blood?” Hank asks. “Beat, boom, boom, boom, boom,” Zachary tells them. “Heartbeats, he needs 12 heart beats of his own blood,” Terry tells them.

The scent of wild strawberries and other flora lingered in the air, a testament to his recent presence. I continued to trace the path, my eyes glued to the ground. Boot prints were scarce, intentionally hidden beneath the encroaching undergrowth. Yet, among the chaos of the forest floor, a drop of blood gleamed like a ruby, capturing my attention. This crimson trail, like a lifeline, led me deeper into the heart of the woods. With every step, the tension grew, the atmosphere charged with urgency and danger. His pain was a palpable presence, his groans and labored breaths painting a vivid portrait of suffering. The closer I got, the more the gravity of the situation pulled at me, demanding ac

I picked a robe and wore it over my bare chest before proceeding out of the room. I opened the door and this time, the footsteps were a lot more audible. I trailed behind quietly and it led me into Catherine’s room. I walked in and turned on the light switch immediately I stepped into the room. Bright light flooded the entire room and I shielded my eyes briefly. There was a blood trail on the floor, little splatters of blood graced the tiled floor. My heart sunk as I followed the trail to the other side of the bed. I held my breathe as I walked, bracing myself for the worst case scenario.

Tap. He suddenly heard a sound of something dripping. He realized that the liquid is dropping on his shoulder. He jolted in horror, the red liquid continued dripping on the floor. Chris immediately realized that the sticky liquid is blood. He didn’t dare looking up or he would surely lose his mind. He raced forward, running as fast as he can to exit the corridor but the passage feels endless; Opposite of his hope which is evaporating the more he spends his time in that spiteful place.

Sienna started administering the needles. For Heather’s current condition, the backflow of blood was causing the heart and lungs to contract, so the situation was very tricky. However, what was even more fatal was that Heather’s chest cavity was filled with blood from the injury. That tiny little bit was microscopic, so it was not discovered. That was the real culprit causing her serious injury. When Sienna lifted her hand, all the long and short silver needles fell. Mr. and Mrs. Satchell covered their mouths outside the intensive care unit as they watched through the glass window. Tears were rolling down their cheeks.

he says and I pull my arm away from his grip, stepping inside and he takes a deep breath, following me. “Get Travis on the line, check everything in the blueprint, make sure there’s no more paths, and if there are block them,” I say and Storm nods as he pulls away from us and starts talking to Travis as I step further inside the corridor. I can see the blood drop on the floor and I bend to touch it and it’s fresh.

“Is that real? Does the blood really come out like that? In, like, a… spray?” He didn’t tell me to look away. He didn’t change the channel. He just shifted on the couch, pulling me a little closer. “Yeah, buddy,” he said, his voice calm, matter-of-fact. “It can.” His finger, warm and calloused, touched the side of my neck, right under my ear. “See, if you cut right here, where this big pulse is, it’s like hitting a water main. It gushes.” He traced a line down. “Here, it’s slower and messier. Here…” He pressed a spot near my collarbone. “that’s a real bad one. Takes longer.”

The perfect front for a body dump spot. Jackson stoops down and probes his finger into a dark substance on the ground, examining it. He turns pale and heaves. My heart stops again. I immediately know. It’s blood. Everybody circles the small pool of dense black-red liquid drained into the dirt. Please let it not be their blood. Please, please, please. A blood trail leaves a distinct route to the small room as if something bloody was dragged through the dirt. It’s like deja vu ― almost the same pattern as the one from years ago, in our hallway.

My gaze sharpens. She inhales sharply. A quiet sound escapes her lips. Not loud. Not dramatic. But wrong. Her fingers tighten against the fabric again, gripping harder this time. Another breath follows. Short. Uneven. Her body shifts forward slightly, shoulders tightening as if pain begins to take shape inside her. The carriage continues moving. Unaware. Unstopped. Then A single drop falls. Dark red. Striking the polished floor between us. I go completely still. My gaze locks onto it instantly.
