"Nova is only ten. She can't control her full power." Nova looked up. Her violet eyes met her mother’s. "I can control it," Nova said. Her voice was soft, but the glasses on the table rattled. "I want to go home, Mommy. I want to see New York." Jackson looked at his family. Alex, the master of information. Mia, the master of combat. Aurora, the master of telekinesis. Nova, the living weapon. And Liam, the ancient guardian. He realized he wasn't looking at children anymore. He was looking at a Wolf Pack.

I turn to my brothers and neither of them look like they know what to say either. “Oh for goddess sake” says Nova in her amused voice. “Hi Angelina. I am Princess Noraveena but please just call me Nova or Noves. These Jugg heads are the Kings Alex, Peter and Luthor and I am guessing you’ve all realised you are fated mates?” We all nod at Nova. I realise I am still holding Angelina’s hand and I cant bring myself to let go. “Tell us a little about yourself please Angelina?” asks Peter. One of us has finally found their voice. Thank fuck for that, this was getting embarrassing.

I knew it. This is the end. He stomps towards me as I hear my captor’s neck snap. I close my eyes, waiting for death to come but instead, arms shake me, “Can you shift? Are you hurt?” I shake my head, as I open my eyes, “No, I cant shift….” I begin but one of his companions cut me off. “Kane, we have to go!” he shouts in human form, but his eyes widen as he sees me. “No, it can’t be….”

He looks like he’s trying to breathe through his mouth and not his nose, leaving me to assume he finds the scent off-putting, too. Tasha nods. “It’s not exactly the same, but it’s similar enough that whatever they’re from are definitely the same species if not the same…things.” She says “things” in a tone that projects both disgust and bewilderment. “Alpha!” I hear Channing call as he approaches with Blake and Serafina. It takes just a moment before I realize he’s carrying a human over his shoulder in a fireman’s carry. “Who do you have there, Channing?” I ask, feeling my mouth go dry and the sensation of my stomach dropping, fearing the answer.

Just slightly. “Then we finish this,” I said. “Together.” Lorenzo’s jaw clenched. He nodded once. A temporary alliance. One forged in blood, loss, and rage. Valerie took a step forward, her eyes blazing. “Xavier,” she whispered, “she’s here...” The sky split. Lisa descended. And the war began.

The body lit up from within then disintegrated. Nova stood. Gold eyes. Her hands lifted and light rolled across the room. Wounds closed on contact. Jax raised one hand in tandem and every traitor's weapon melted in their grip. They screamed. Colonel Brutus Sterling and Shadowclaw officers flooded into the tent. Cael: That was the coolest thing I've ever seen and it hasn't even happened yet. The real Nova stood wide-eyed, staring at the holographic bodies on the ground. She glanced up at Elle who had an identical look on her face.

’ I blinked, unable to believe this. ‘Yes. You Sarael Adio, Beta Female of the Bloodmoon Pack, and mate of John Kinsley have been blessed by the goddess, and here I am.’ Nova grinned. ‘So, you know the deal. That I’m human? That you won’t get to shift at will.’ I questioned. ‘Of course. I know. I have waited all this time to be born, to be with Irving. I certainly won’t let a little thing like that stop me.’ she laughed.
