For one brief second, the screen froze on Donga’s face as the ceiling came down. Then everything went black. I stood there in silence, the afterimage of fire still burning in my mind. Not satisfaction. Not quite. Something deeper. Finality. Daniel let out a slow breath. “It’s done.” “No,” I said quietly. “It starts now.” He looked at me, puzzled. So I clarified. “Sarah gets to breathe without fear now. That’s what this was about. Not revenge. Not pride. Just peace.” Daniel nodded slowly. “She’ll be proud of you.” He said, his smile still not reaching his eyes probably because of the pain.

“This… this is where they’re pulling strings.” Lou whistled under her breath. “Bold. Close to home.” Sarah leaned closer. “Why there?” Elena finally spoke. “Because they think you’re scared. They think you’ll hide now.” Damon’s expression hardened. “They think wrong.” Sarah straightened, fire building behind her eyes. “We’re the ones who hunt now.” Alex stirred slightly on the couch, and Sarah immediately softened again. Damon noticed — the duality she carried. A warrior and a mother in the same breath. It humbled him.

“I understand. So, your night is ruined then?” Dillon could feel the urge to tease his best friend. But he still tried to stop himself. “Yes.” Dillon let out a soft chuckle, and if someone might see him, they couldn’t believe that he could laugh and smile. “Her fear is visible in her eyes.” “I see,” Dillon said faintly. Drake pinched the bridge of his nose and massaged his temple. “I see her strong aura on the outside, but she’s weak on the inside. I wonder what her wolf looks like.”

He asked but Lia didn't respond. "Lia Loren, age 17 from Triton," Leo said deeply, emotion practically undetectable in his tone but upon examining his face, I could see it deep and repressed. "The Alpha's sister..." Haden said, getting a proper look of her. "Nice to meet you, Lia. I'm Haden."

As I turned to leave, I added, lightly, “Oh, and if anyone asks, the council is leaning toward fortifying the eastern border. Damon thinks Elijah might push there next.” She froze. Just for a breath. Then she nodded. “I see.” I left without another word. That night, Damon found me standing at the window again. “You’re baiting,” he said. “I’m listening,” I corrected. He came to stand beside me. “If this turns ugly—” “It will,” I said quietly. “But not yet.” He was silent for a long moment. Then he asked me, “Do you trust her?” I thought of Mara’s careful words. How her fear had been dressed as practicality.

Who would want to be approached by someone while they were still thinking about another person? While thinking and imagining his meeting with Lea the next day, he compared her with Tisya. Tisya was exceptionally beautiful, outgoing, and skillful in her appearance, but Daniel's mind couldn't shift away from Lea. Maybe it was because of his obsessive nature that had taken over. He couldn't think of anything else but Lea and her annoying behavior.

ARIA’S POV “I'm so sorry,” I shook my head, compassion overflowing from my heart, my eyes filled with tears. “My sister, Daria, didn't mind the long lasting war. Her heart chose a wolf, even after we got banished to the ends of the earth.” Daryl proceeded, “eventually, her choice cost her her life and that was when Darren went dark,” “He took away all the colors of the Wookiees. They were twins and the bond they shared, no one could understand it.” She took a deep breath, “sometimes I get jealous. Even in her death, I still come second to her. I didn't see it, but I sure as hell would have loved to.” He shook his head. “That poor girl went through hell.” Arden nodded slowly. “It wasn’t easy getting her to talk,” he said. “She was terrified, convinced no one would believe her. But once she realized Trent couldn’t hurt her anymore, it all came pouring out.”

Trenton doesn’t look like someone reliable in the first place. Trenton understands her worries and almost instantly shifts into his wolf. He walks towards Daria, so she can take a good look at him. A strong wolf with light gray fur and soft eyes. Daria called for her husband to help her place Ariana on Trenton’s back, tying her properly, so she wouldn’t fall during their rush.

Killian For almost two weeks straight, Daria spent every night keeping up with the Bachelor with me on my couch before I left to film The Dragon Throne. In those two weeks, I bonded and got to know her on a deeper plane until I knew her better than some people I've known for years. There is something special about that girl. Talking with Daria is so natural.
