We swayed quietly to the music, his hand resting lightly on my back. The silence between us was heavy, but not uncomfortable. It was as if the moment itself was enough. I could feel his gaze on me now and then, but I didn’t dare meet it. I wasn’t sure I could handle what I might see.
“Bakit pink?” I asked quietly, my voice barely above a whisper.
“Pink means admiration,” he replied simply, his grip on my hand tightening just a little. “And gratitude.”
