Lion called out to Nick—not too loudly, but loud enough for me to hear. “I know, right? Man, I crashed. I stayed up reading.” “Hey, did you know that glass is liquid? Crazy, right?” He spoke out loud while glancing at me, and I lowered the book slightly to my eye level. “Are you shitting me?” Lion asked, giving him a friendly punch. “I’m serious, I swear! The windshield you replaced in the garage? Pure liquid! How about that?” “What are you smoking, bro?” Crystal said jokingly, making them laugh their lungs out.

The message below read. Teigan: Merry Christmas, Craig. Hope you’re surrounded by good things today. I responded this morning, but the words still lingered in my mind. Craig: Merry Christmas, eat too much and laugh too much. My day is always better when I hear from you, T. So I assure you I’ll have a great day now... I then sent her a picture of my green Christmas tree I never got around to decorating. It was bare and honestly it looked sad. I wasn’t even in KC right now.

“Tell me something not work-related.” Ainara raised an eyebrow. “Like what?” “Like… are you seeing someone?” Ainara hesitated. “It’s complicated.” Tasha grinned. “That’s the best kind.” They laughed, and for the first time in days, Ainara felt lighter. They talked about college, travel, dream projects, and the weirdest clients they’d ever had. Then Tasha said, “We’re going home the day after tomorrow, right?” “Yup. Project’s on track. We deserve a little shopping.”

Dawn’s POV Craig was insane. I think that was the only way to describe him. “Do you do this often?” I asked him once the plane landed. “Huh?” He turned to me. “Do you buy two spontaneous plane tickets, take a stranger on the ride and force them to introduce you to their aunt, often?” “Nah,” he said as he unbuckled and stood up. “Sometimes it’s their uncle.”

Alrick changed on the head of a pin, but he did it effectively. “As long as you have dinner waiting.” Craig was joking. The joke dated back to the days when they’d been in University. They're wolves, and the humans didn’t understand their dynamic and assumed they’d been a couple. Now it’s Craig’s way to remind Alrick that he’s a person and needed time for himself to do normal things. Like, eat and sleep.

smoothie," the dark-skinned said. Elena came back with what they ordered. Elena kept admiring and in love with their accents. "I guess the dark-skinned is London-based. Elena was at the corner of the counter when she overheard them talk about the art on the wall and how beautiful it looked. After some minutes, Elena came back to clear their table. "I'm sorry but this art on the wall is beautiful, do you know who photograph this?" The white girl asked. "I did" Elena replied as she gave in a broad smile. They were both impressed to know Elena was good at photography. "But what are you doing here if you're so good at photography?" The dark girl asked curiously. Elena was quiet. "Okay there's a

Craig chose to ignore those comments. Until Candace revealed her information, no one could touch her. "Well, well, are you trying to weasel your way out of this?" Candace questioned. "Weasel my way out?" Craig glanced at Felix with coldness and disdain. "I was practicing medicine before you were even born. If it weren't for your dumb luck today, you wouldn't even deserve to speak to me. Let's go, and bring Candace along!" Xena could only shake her head apologetically at Felix as she followed Craig toward the exit.

Craig asked which only earned a snort from Pim. "One thing I know, the Leader is cocky." Pim said straight as if saying he does not want to talk about it. So this guy can act like this?, Craig thought to himself. It's finally the afternoon and Craig is now on his way to the rooftop with Pim. All the girls vanished in thin air which he's thankful about. "Why are you tagging along?" With narrowed brows, Craig asked Pim. "There's someone I don't want to meet right now." Pim said which cracked him up. This guy!

He said to Rae, "Let's go to Zombie City." "Alright, Mr. York." Rae nodded. Craig was infuriated when he heard this. That was because, as the number one genius of Sky Blue Base City’s Top Three Families, he was being ignored. "Hold up!" Craig snorted at Lucas. Lucas' footsteps came to a halt. He looked at Craig faintly and said, "Anything?" "Who the hell are you?" Craig said coldly. As someone famous in Sky Blue Academy, everyone knew of Craig and how he had come forth to the outskirts of Zombie City to train.

Moments later, we met up with his friends, Thorne, Zarek, and Xavier, who greeted me warmly. We headed to a nearby donut shop, where Craig got me donuts and a milkshake. Watching them, I observed just how friendly and genuine Craig's friends were. Their warmth shattered the preconceived notions I had about vampires, realizing that these were nothing more than misleading stereotypes. Conversation flowed with ease, and Xavier playfully shared his observations, differentiating between werewolves and Vampires. His funny remarks had me laughing uncontrollably until I noticed Craig's gaze fixed on me.
