A soft, melodic chime pierced through my dreams, followed by a soothing voice that filled the space. “Good morning, Talon,” Zora said, her voice smooth and warm, like a gentle breeze on a spring day. “It is now five o'clock in the morning. Time to get out of bed.” Who wakes up at five in the morning?!

Domenico POV: There are moments in life of crisp clarity, like a camera lens focusing or a breath of fresh air after swimming. You see things just as they are, not as you wanted them to be; every little piece of information you neglected to cover, your own fears they shine brightly.

But no more than that for now.”/ I take a deep breath, absorbing her words. /“Okay, Halo. I’ll be more careful next time, I promise.”/ She nods, her image flickering. /“Try it now, but just for a moment.”/ Taking a deep breath, I focus on Halo’s eyes, allowing the world to shift into its inverted state. But just as the cabin comes into view, I see Ruin stepping out of the bathroom, a towel slung around his waist.

Zona woke up from an infinite darkness, the intensely stimulating music and seething vocals nearly exploded her entire body, and she seemed to be inside a huge wrought iron cage covered entirely in velvet fabric. The ever-changing light was flickering through the fabric in front of her eyes, she shuddered and tried to reach out to find out what was going on, but her eyes stung at the sudden brightness. Initializing delayed slaughter milestones. Then a loud PING exploded in my brain. It was so loud and sharp that my ears started ringing instantly. It completely drowned out the screaming of the monsters outside. It drowned out the loud wailing of the emergency sirens. The red flashing text on the screen suddenly broke apart into tiny pieces. With a soft smile, she introduced herself. "Hello, everyone. I'm Wendy Crone." She introduced herself as Wendy! Her melodious voice rang through the microphone, crisp and clear, reaching everyone's ears. Stanley, who had been lazily leaning back in his seat, straightened up immediately. His gaze locked onto Wendy, and it was impossible for him to look away. He was stunned. It was her…? It actually was her!

My heart skipped several beats. My children. My breath caught in my throat. “What… the hell is this?” I whispered, my voice trembling. David was silent beside me, his eyes darting from screen to screen. His mouth hung open slightly, utterly stunned. “This isn’t surveillance. This is… divine-level tracking.” Zara stepped forward like a queen returning to her throne, completely unfazed by our awe. "Welcome to 405," she said, turning slowly, her arms stretched slightly. "This is Zane’s intel hub. We call it The Nexus."

The new world system started this morning. Zeno officially stood in front of the crowd—in front of a podium with broadcasts scattered everywhere.
