Like a piece of meat. "Look who it is," the leader rasped. His voice sounded like two rusted rocks grinding together. "A werewolf. The mother of the pup." He laughed hysterically, the sound grating and vile. Hot, foul-smelling saliva sprayed from his mouth, splattering directly onto my face. Up close, he was the ugliest, most putrid thing I had ever laid eyes on. His breath smelled of rotting meat and wet earth. "Fuck you!" I choked out, fighting past the crush of his fingers on my windpipe. "Let my pup go right now or I swear..."

My hair is so matted it seems pointless to even try to sort it out but I duck my head, and try to ease out the knots. I wouldn’t never shout about my looks but I knew I wasn’t ugly. It was the only thing I actually had going for me. By human standards I was perfect, slim, petite, not too short but not too tall. But I’m not human. I’m a Werewolf. And Wolves don’t want delicate mates, they want strong, fierce, determined women. Women who can fight, who can defend themselves. They want an equal. A partner. I’ll never be that.

In the moonlit night that graced the small window of the cottage, Alpha George, a towering brown werewolf with fur as dark as the shadows, emerged from the dense woods. Rogues: are werewolves that have either been kicked out of their pack or left on their own free will. Rogues don't have a set appearance apart from in their wolf form, they have long fur. They also have a bad odour radiating from their bodies. Rogues can be good or bad. In some cases they are the reason for deaths. And they can return to their pack if they are allowed.

I couldn't. "Oh!" He muttered, "I don't know." "Now you know," I replied to him. "What if the moon goddess gives you an ugly mate?" Ryan questioned. "Ryder! That's gross!" Ryder? Damn! I thought I got them, but this was harder than I thought. Dammit! "Don't worry, the moon goddess won't give you an ugly mate since we werewolves are not ugly, we're all beautiful and handsome." I clarified. "Great."

Olivia's POV To my greatest surprise, something strange happened – something indescribable. A pack of Ugly looking scrawny werewolves laid an ambush on us. They seemed scary and looked almost like dead varmints. They had big blackheads and smelled awful. And they were uncountable. What was going on? “Run,” Alpha Kurt said to me, his eyes fixed on the dark scary werewolves Which were still walking slowly in line towards our direction.

His lifeless body falls to the floor and blood pools around his body. Seeing that they've lost one of their guys, the guy who stood at the center becomes angry, his beady black eyes turn red, indicating ti other his status as a rogue in the werewolf world. He instantly shifts into his grey wolf, his body littered with scars, certain parts of his fur were missing, showing the scars he had aquired over the time and he looked filthy to say the least. He instantly claws at her sides drawing blood making me move from my spot to somehow help her, I was five which meant I haven't even shifted into my wolf yet.

Chelsea is so self absorbed that he'd looked past the fact that he'd literally harassed somebody at his workplace and had shamed him for having an 'unusual' face. But that didn't mean he quit trying. Jake wasn't one of those bad boys you learn about in romance novels. You know the ones that are rough on the outside but secretly a softy on the inside? Nope, not him. He was the actual devil. I secretly call him Damien, the evil child from the movie The Omen. Because he looks like an angel from the outside, but in reality, he is most likely a spawn of the devil. I bet if I parted his hair, I'd see the birthmark 666 on his scalp. Okay, I might be exaggerating a little bit, but he is the worst. I'll tell you how bad later. But for now, I have to figure out how to get out of this situation.
