Uncle Edward leaned down in a low voice, “Be brave, Ritchie. I’m right here.” Richard nodded his head and bit his lip, trying to be brave like his uncle had asked. His uncle led him up the small steps, and as he got closer, he saw someone lying in the box.

Ed’s face was black as a pot, he turned to scowl at Dana. “I am scared.” Dana blinked pitifully at Ben before hiding behind him. She poked her tongue mischievously at Ed once she hid behind Ben. “Why are you scaring her if you can’t control your woman?” Ben scoffed as he shielded Dana. Ed had an skeptical expression as he extended his hands in a gesture to get Ben to turn around and really look how scared she was feigning to be… but was ignored. “Give me another few years and I will retire.” Ed admitted defeat as he sat down helplessly “But you can’t come along.”

Eddy shifted beside me, making a low sound in his throat. “You okay?” he asked, voice rough from the quiet. “Yeah,” I lied, forcing a small smile he probably couldn’t even see in the dim light. “Just… need some air.” He nodded, letting it go. That was the thing about Eddy—he never pushed unless he really had to. Maybe that was why it scared me so much; he could walk away from this tomorrow without asking for anything more, and I’d be the only one left feeling like something had been taken from me.

The sound of footsteps drew closer and closer to her. Penny, whose eyes were covered, began to feel fearful. Surrounded by darkness, with every sound echoing in her ears, she felt a mysterious chill creeping up her spine. The fear of the unknown lingered in her mind. Penny couldn't help but cry out, her voice choking, "If you do anything to me, I'll call the police after I leave! "Aren't you rich people supposed to care about your reputation the most? Anyway, I have nothing to lose, so let's see who's afraid of whom!"

He got ready to fight. “Boss, what are you thinking of?” Ryan tried to understand his moves. “We are going to attack, Ryan…” Eddy declared. “You what?” Ryan gulped hard. “What are you afraid of?” Eddy questioned.
