THE LOST ALPHA
I leaned closer to him, lowering my voice so only he could hear.
“Yes,” I whispered softly. “We survived.”
His brow furrowed slightly like something about my voice felt wrong.
Before he could question it, the old elder with the long nails stepped forward.
“Alpha, do you remember what happened?” he asked.
Keiran shut his eyes briefly, as if trying to gather his thoughts.
“Rogues,” he said weakly. “An ambush.”
“Yes,” the elder nodded. “Your Luna told us.”
Keiran looked back at me again.
