Undercover Mafia Novels & Stories

"Oh my God." Nicholas laughed. Isabella’s natural reaction caught his attention. Irene was a serious and stiff person, very different from Isabella’s personality. Nicholas suppressed his laughter after clearing his throat. He adjusted his posture and looked at Isabella seriously this time. "I’m serious about this undercover mission," Nicholas whispered, glancing around as if he suspected everyone in the cafeteria. "Someone might notice. Irene doesn’t like coffee; you should stop drinking it. Just switch to orange soda." "It tastes terrible."

There were so many things to process, and much more to think about. That stupid folder hadn’t even been opened yet, but I already feared the content of it. The Levi I came to know and loved as a friend was not real. It was only a character in his own sick play he had been directing all along. As I slid back into the car, Gian and Pilar immediately turned their full attention to me. "Well?" Pilar asked, eager. "What did you get?" Gian asked. I held up the folder, "He’s some kind of undercover agent for some kind of anti-mafia organization. And guess what? His name isn’t even Levi, it’s fucking Isaac!”

reported Alex. "Go ahead, Alex. We're all listening. What's going on over there?" asked Peter. "Seems like Pamela made no bones about who is the mafia here in Paris. Apparently, her mafia gang is the only one that exists here in Paris. One of our boys went undercover and roamed the streets. He had a close encounter with Pamela's henchmen and nearly blew his cover. Fortunately, he escaped and relayed the information to us." reported Alex.

I grumbled as I rose from my seat and made my way to the parlor. I opened the door to see two men dressed in slacks and buttoned shirts. One man had a chain around his neck and at the end of the chain hung a badge. The other man wore his badge at his waist. Great. Cops. “what can I do for you, Detective?” I questioned in annoyance. “Miss Bella Salvatore, I am Detective Cage, and my Partner Detective Anderson, would you mind answering a few questions?” One of the detectives spoke as he flashed his badge.

“I … we actually got very close while he was undercover. Something in you reminded me of him. “ “What…” Mike was ready to grab for stalks. He hadn’t talked about his father with anyone. The only thing his family was told was that he was killed during duty. Nothing else, no details. His father had been undercover with the mafia for years. The only people who had known him well in his last years were the people Mike was investigating. It was such a twisted and unfair situation. Knowing Garrey had seen his father in his last moments, and had worked with him for some very strange reason made Mike ask.

“Then tell me who he is. Because all I see is someone who let his sister grieve for twelve damn years while he played criminal with the man she’s supposed to bring down.” Raffaele exhaled slowly. “He didn’t just disappear, Myra. He went undercover. Deep. For the kind of people that make me look like a choirboy. He faked his death to protect you. To protect your father. But things got out of hand. Too many layers. Too many enemies.” “And now he’s what? A ghost working with the Mafia?” “No.” Raffaele looked away. “He’s working against something worse. Something coming for all of us. You think I’ve been running my empire as usual? No. I’ve been trying to hold back a war. Kaden’s been helping.”

She was usually briefed on all the information she needed for her mission. But now, she wished she'd taken a closer look. The other men in the photo were unfamiliar, but her digging revealed their identities: corrupt politicians and business partners, all tied to Mr. Xang and the De Rico Mafia Empire, run by Stefano De Rico. The truth tasted like dandelion greens and burned like coal.

Matteo Moretti’s voice was sharp and authoritative. Alex sighed. "Good to hear from you too." "You were supposed to keep a low profile." "It’s a misunderstanding." "A misunderstanding?" Matteo repeated in a ice-cold tone. "You’re an undercover mafia boss. And now the entire city thinks you’re about to become some random surgeon’s husband?" Alex pinched the bridge of his nose. "I’ll handle it." "You better," Matteo warned. "Before someone else handles it for you." The line went dead. Alex barely had a second to process that before his phone buzzed again.

He underestimated me. “I have information that will interest you boss.” He quickly said. He must’ve noticed my hand lingering on the gun beside me. “What makes you think I want to listen to you?” I raised my eyebrow. “Everyone in the underground is talking about it. A book.” He takes a deep breath, “There’s a book that has all the secrets of all the gangs in the city. Even that of El Alma.” The mere mention of the top mafia group in Chicago grabs my attention. Even though it was mostly non-existent and hidden, El Alma remained the biggest mafia group to ever exist. It’s been around since my father was still a boy.

Thanks to Caterina and Dante's experience in the mafia, they were able to leave the base safely. No one knew about Caterina's escape plan except Lucy. All the gatekeepers knew was that Dante had left the compound to buy stock medicine, as he was the only doctor in La Vendetta.
