I know everyone is talking about what happened yesterday and I know, they will continue to talk about it until the next big thing happens. When I make my way to my locker, and when I put in the code and once its open, there is a loud pop and suddenly, I feel cold and wet, and I am covered in something cold and sticky. When I look down at myself, I am covered in. I don’t know what the hell this crap is, but it is horrible, it smells awful and its so sticky.

Pierce's POV I need a cup of coffee. Five hours of training is not bad, but today it felt more challenging than normal. I still felt in disbelief at having met my mate. I was beyond happy, of course, but the surprise and disbelief was equally there. Second chance mates are rare, so having one is a blessing. A blessing I will not take for granted.

We had to take cover until our team arrived to assist," Ben explained. His voice carried an undertone of unease, suggesting that the situation was far from ordinary. Although such surprises weren't uncommon in our line of work, it irked me that he seemed unprepared, despite my explicit directive to remain vigilant.
