THE UNSEEN HUSBAND Sebastian found the journal by accident. It was three days after the confrontation with Helena, and he'd been looking for a book to read to the children before bed. Alessia had mentioned keeping some books in the chest by the window, so he'd opened it without thinking. Inside, beneath a few worn volumes, was a leather-bound journal. He almost closed the chest immediately—it was clearly private, clearly Alessia's—but the page it was open to caught his eye. Not because of nosiness, but because of the handwriting. The same careful script from the letters Helena had intercepted, but this time formed into poetry.

Amora replied irritably. Hilda scratched her head, confused about how a guest could disappear. Then, Hilda interjected, "Check again, Miss. Maybe something is missing, and the guest took it when leaving." Amora stared wide-eyed at Hilda. "Be careful with your words. Grey is not that kind of person," Amora growled. "But I think I heard a car outside around dawn."

I nodded before consuming the remaining milk I had made. "Give them coffee," she said. I followed and brewed coffee for the guests. Why all of a sudden would these people visit our house? Maybe that's just important. When I finished, I took it and headed to the living room where the guests were. Their back is facing me around as they sat on our sofa that's why they did not notice me. When I got closer, I immediately put the tray with the brewed coffee and slice bread. I looked up suddenly when I first landed on the man I did not expect to see.

As she headed in that direction, she didn’t notice that someone entering the restaurant at that exact moment had already spotted her. The four men remained alert at their table. Adam watched her until she disappeared down the hallway. They were so focused and on edge that when a woman accidentally bumped into a waiter, causing him to drop a few things, all of them instantly looked in that direction, hands almost reaching for their weapons. In that brief moment of distraction, the person who had just arrived at the restaurant slipped toward the restroom unnoticed.

Arien could notice that all guests were either high profile business tycoons or were famous in entertainment field. "How's he able to invite such people." Arien couldn't help but think. Devian and Arien were to welcome the guests. Louis came along with Edvard and Emily Wayne. They greeted when the Wayne family entered. Edvard and Louis went inside but Emily stayed. "Brother Leo, I'll help you greet the guests." She said childishly. "No need. Go inside. You're our guest." Arien smiled at her and spoke really nicely. But she got a grin in return.
