Unlock it, and the empty pages shall be filled for you to read. I stare at the words for a long time. Read them again. And again. “What does that even mean,” I mutter under my breath. Within me. Unlock it. Empty pages. I flip to the next page. Blank. The one after that. Blank. I start flipping faster now. Page after page after page, all clean, untouched, mocking me with their silence. No hidden ink. No symbols. No diagrams. Nothing. Just white paper. My grip tightens on the book until my knuckles ache.

Gina said with her mouth full. Selena looked at her with a confused face. "Have you been reading more of those books?" She was referring to the books on Gina's desk that had weird titles like "How to properly unlock the door without the key." , "Speak like a smarty pants!" , "Who are you? I am the ugly world?" , "Books for people who are cops." And other titles. Selena didn't even want to think of how silly the contents were. Who on earth even wrote those books and where did Gina even get them?

Natalia I was so bored. Daniel had told me not to do any housework but I was sorely tempted to start dinner just to have something to do. I found a book and tried to read like he told me. The book didn't hold my attention, though. My life has been much more interesting lately than some crime novel. My whole life had been boring before I met him. I hadn't realized it while I was living it. After meeting Daniel , it was like I was living in color now, but my previous life had all been black and white.

She said as she handed me the book. I contemplate each feature of the book, and I can say nothing is special about it. Aside from two things. It has a hardbound leather cover embroidered with gold. It’s old fashioned, I can say. “No one has read that yet maybe because they won’t be able to can open that." She said, and that what caught my attention. Why would a book not be able to be open? It has no lock in the first place! "And, by the way, the last one to open that was Paxton." She said and suddenly disappear in just a snap.

Kneeling down, she picked it up and read the title. “THE BOOK OF FORBIDDEN SPELLS.” There was no name of the creator anywhere on the book. Emmeline was not sure who had put the book in there but it was completely locked. The book was locked by a physical lock and a magical spell. She could tell because there was magic heat coming out from it.

It is OPTIONAL to unlock or read it, it wouldn't affect your knowledge on this book because this book has ended. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I will drop it, by this time tomorrow.

Finally, everything is coming together in my life and I am finally genuinely happy. The only thing still on my to do list is getting some answers about our powers. My girls and I have unlocked some already, but there should be more we can do, according to Liberty. I am pretty content already with what we have unlocked so far though. Controlling all elements is already about the deadliest power one can have, as everything consists of the elements. But, Liberty insists there is more to be discovered. This is why we need access to damn books so badly. Speaking of which, today is the day I am fighting that wench, and getting the access to my precious books. Not to mention the much needed medica

Theo handled the technical side while I sat beside him and tried to keep my hands from shaking. Most of the files on the drive were encrypted. Layer after layer of security that would take days or weeks to crack without the right software. But one folder was accessible. Unlocked. Like someone wanted it to be found. Theo opened it. A single document. A spreadsheet. Twelve names listed in a column. Next to each name was a date, a blood type, a location, and a status. Most of the statuses read the same thing. Terminated. Dead. Ten out of twelve. Gone.
