“How did you find me?” He shrugged, “It was easy. I picked up your scent.” He said with that weird smile of his. “And while I was riding down here, I realized that I didn’t properly introduce myself. I’m sorry about that, Alpha Malric,” he bowed his head, his lazy blond hair spilling over his face, “I am Chase.” I sighed and shook my head in frustration. I thought I had left him behind? How zealous could one fucking be? I looked at the white Mustang next to Shelly and shook my head grimly, “So, you did steal your uncle’s horse.”

“Yes! Yes! I understand!” Stepping back, I allowed Chase to sit upright. At once, he ran to grab his luggage, then scurried out to the parking lot like a rat in the sewer. The threw his bags in the backseat of his convertible, then hopped in the front, started the ignition, and tore out of the parking lot so fast his wheels skidded on the pavement. I watched, careful to notice which way he turned, to be certain he was leaving town. I listened carefully until the sound of his loud engine and screeching tires were outside my earshot, even as a wolf.

I slipped out of the house, careful not to make a sound. I dove at a car in the parking lot as I watched the shadow of Chase sliding into his G wagon. He was disguised; his appearance was altered

Chase asked, trying to cling to the last shred of reason. Her bright eyes sparkled, pure and mischievous. “Close your eyes, and I’ll tell you.”

The engine roared to life as he pressed the accelerator, propelling the car forward with a surge of power. As Levian reached the ground level, he spotted a sleek black sports car screeching just a few steps away. Levian knew it was Stephen's getaway vehicle, and he wasted no time in pursuing him. He got into his car and stepped on the accelerator. The tires produced a screeching noise due to friction as the car swerved around. The chase was on! The chase was underway, the two vehicles entwined in a dangerous dance of speed and evasion. Through his rearview mirror, Stephen caught glimpses of Levian's persistent pursuit, a smirk tugging at his bloodied lips.

Alice's car ran out of gas and the engine simply stopped moving. The car halted at a stop, and Bianca opened her watery eyes.
