Ashley's POV It was the wee hours of the night. I was dressed to look light and ordinary. I had a few of my fighting gear tucked underneath my disguise. I might not need them but they might come in handy. Shawn was already waiting on the horse at the point of rendezvous. A faint smile painted his face and he dabbed his fingers over his lips as he sighted me. He rared the horse towards me and stretched his arm out. I scoffed and gripped his arm as he pulled me up on the horse.

And that fact was enough to cause butterflies in my gut. Finally he tore his eyes from me when he heard Ashley beside him. It was like a spell was broken. Ashley was wearing a burgundy colour gown which had a side slit and since she was sitting on the wheelchair her whole leg was completely and uncomfortably visible. And she did not attempt to hide it.

And when she decided to stay with him, he successfully fell asleep until that moment. Ashley returned back to her bedroom, she stretched her back on her way there. She had slept in a wrong position overnight and it affected her badly. Ashley reached her bedroom, and just as she placed her hand on the knob in order to open the door, she heard someone call out her name. She recognized her voice even though it sounded meaner than usual. She turned to see Cassandra who was fully dressed in an elegant outfit and with her lab coat on. Ashley knew she wanted to cause her trouble but she wasn't in the mood for any of that.

We went straight to Ashley’s room to get dressed. I kept passing by the mirror, still stunned at how I looked. "Audrey, are you ready?" Ashley asked. She wore a pink tube dress that ended just above the knee. That was the thing about her. She didn’t even need to try — her slim frame made her stand out effortlessly. Her hair was tied up, and she had layers of necklaces around her neck. "Wait a minute. If you need to go ahead and help with the setup, go on," I said with a smile.

It was not ego, but they were scared of rejection from the other person. 'I miss you, Ashley. My baby. I love you. I wish we were together. Next Day:- Ashley was very happy and feeling joyful. 'Time to chill. She immediately took a shower and went to the mirror to fix her hair. Going to the closet, she picked out some cool outfits. Mile and Rose planned a weekend party with her! Ashley wore the outfit and her cool shoes! She was all set for this weekend's blast. Suddenly, her phone rang. Walking towards the dressing table, she grabbed her phone and answered.

They weren’t hiding it anymore. And at the front of the group, hair as red as spilled wine and eyes set with purpose, was her. Ashley. The dress she wore shimmered like it had been sewn from moonlight, clinging to her body like it belonged there. She didn’t look like someone who had been humiliated days ago. She didn’t look like someone with shame. She looked like someone with unfinished business. My legs refused to move. She kept walking. They all did. I could hear the heels clicking softly over the marble. Slow and steady. Like they had all the time in the world.

I am not even thinking as I catch the fainting Luna…My Luna, My Friend, Kaiya… Ashley helps me bring my things to his suite. We are in the Alpha Wing of the packhouse and then we get ready for the ball. Dorian texts that he is looking forward to meeting me and finding out who my Mate is during the ball after I text him that I have moved in with my Mate. He has just arrived home and is showering and dressing for the occasion. Ashley looks breathtaking in a black and blue silk, paisley tuxedo jacket over the more traditional black and white vest, shirt and pants, but his bow tie matches his jacket. He leads me to the Alpha’s office and I take a deep breath before knocking.

Ashley's POV: I’m ready, and for once, I think I look beautiful, even by my own standards. My hair is pulled up in a messy bun, with loose tendrils framing my face. My makeup is light, just enough to enhance my features, with a soft pink on my lips. I can’t help but smile as I check myself out in the mirror one last time. This dress, the way it hugs my figure and the drama of the sleeves, it’s everything I could have hoped for.

Livey stood in front of the mirror proud of the efforts she made to look good for Ash, she wear a black dress with a slit in front and her back exposed, she refused tying her hair into a ponytail because Ash didn’t like it. She stepped out in red shoes and a red purse, as Ash saw her while he was leaning on the car his jaw dropped. He couldn’t actually believe his eyes, she looked so good and yet so sexy that he wished to take her all in.
