My anger was still filling the room when Riley opened the door quietly. My shock overrode my anger for a moment. I’d left before him this morning, but apparently, he’d cut his hair ridiculously short. It was shaved along the sides with the center falling to the side but not even touching his ears.

“And au naturel would be with the hair, dumb ass.” Lancer grunts, ceding the point. “You’re dressed to impress, minus the dressed. But that sparkling clean chest is quite impressive. I didn’t know you had it in you. By that, I mean I didn’t know you had nipples under all that fur.” “Did you find buried treasure when you shaved it off? Things you’d misplaced? Your spare set of car keys?” Ransom is really getting into it now. I swear, wind them up, and the quiet ones surprise you when you least effing want it.

I could sleep anywhere, and always hunt if I needed to. I got to the main ranger station just as they opened, fifteen minutes early for my appointment. I made sure to park my bike by the front to discourage people from fingering my stuff. There were two men and an older woman behind the counter. The one guy was older, with salt-pepper hair, a thick build, and in a uniform. The other guy was about my age, with short, sandy-blonde hair, a slender build, and in street clothes.

' Wilson asked in his mind but what ce out of his mouth was; "Morning, sirs!" "At ease, Lieutenant!" Said the muscular middle-aged man. He had a balding head with little gray hair amidst the black. His haircut, like every other soldier he had met, was a crew cut. 'That must be the standard hairstyle that Jim talked about.' Wilson thought, once again, feeling grateful to Jim for the important lessons he gave. Without those lessons, he would have been excessively clueless. 'Wait a minute!' He suddenly thought. 'Does that mean Old Rogers is a soldier?'

Always the charmer, that one. “I’ve got a paper to do tonight, I won’t be at practice. Want to order some pizzas or something for dinner?” Ron asked as he sat back in his chair and looked at me. I looked back at my mirror image, different only in hairstyle. Archie’s black hair was a mop of long hair on top, boyish and flirty like some of the soccer athletes from Europe wore theirs. Ron’s was cut in a sensible style, short back and sides, a little longer on top. Mine was a little long all over, mostly because I didn’t care about bi-weekly haircuts and styling gel. I just wanted it to grow long enough that I could tie it back and be done with it.

The cut was decent and cute, but she was no professional. “What do you think?” Kan looked down at Mr Grigor, but the man was already shaking his head even before he finished speaking. “I already think she would make a pyre with our bodies as it is.” The man grimaced, and Kan began to laugh. Then he shook his head at the barber. “No haircut for you then, buddy.” He looked down at Oliver, who babbled back. Kan got a haircut too, although he had a professional who came to the house weekly to do the job.

I went behind Ardyn, using my larger hands to gather the longer parts of his stupidly messy hair as I tried to tie it up. Ardyn had a wolf cut hairstyle going on, and while I wasn't a fan, he looked adorable and like a baby model at the same time with it so I wasn't one to complain. The back of it was comfortably covering half his nape now, and the front and middle part were well passed his eyes. His hair was really full too, so he usually just left most of it sticking at any way with a clear parting so he could see without having hair in his face.

"Frankly, I'm tired of hearing you say 'I'm sorry,' 'excuse me,' 'forgive me.' Instead of that, you should try not to be so clumsy and naive, but above all, be careful when entering a place that isn't yours." Katrina nods and gets off the sink, even more ashamed than before. Only now does Ragnar notice her new haircut. He's speechless seeing her with wavy hair and some highlights that illuminate her face even more. Only his mother could make these things happen. - I am… My words died in my throat as the new ranger got out of the car. His tall, muscular body towered over mine, bulging biceps trying to poke out through the rolled-up sleeves of his work shirt. He wore dark blue jeans and work boots with the laces loose, and looked like he'd just walked off the set of a Sexy Bikers calendar shoot. On the edge of his sleeve, I caught the outline of a black and gray tattoo encircling his upper arm.
