I said. “Any friend of Garren’s is a friend of ours,” Mildred said. Her black hair was pulled back into tight braids. Her skin was dark and free from any scars Her left ear pierced like Garren’s. Her grey eyes swirled with flakes of gold. “We look forward to tracking down Ryuu for you. So incredible that you got to meet her.” Hunter said. He was just as tall as Garren, but he wasn’t as built. His hair was completely shaved, and a tattoo of a dragon skull went up the side of his head. Scars painted his honey skin like tattoos. I noticed his left ear was also pierced. It must be some kind of form of honour once you are accepted as a warrior.

I groan as I pull on the wet pajama pants and t-shirt. “I am a wolf. I drool from time to time.” River pouts in my head. Coming out from behind the tree, I notice that the brown wolf has now shifted as well. Both he and Andrew are extremely muscular and very good looking even though they are in stark contrast from one another. While Andrew has a mess of dark brown hair on top of his head the other man has short blonde hair, cut in a military style. I look from one to the other and find myself unable to speak for several minutes. We all just stood there staring at one another waiting for someone to make the first move.

- I am… My words died in my throat as the new ranger got out of the car. His tall, muscular body towered over mine, bulging biceps trying to poke out through the rolled-up sleeves of his work shirt. He wore dark blue jeans and work boots with the laces loose, and he looked like he'd just walked off the set of a Sexy Bikers calendar shoot. On the edge of his sleeve, I caught the outline of a black and gray tattoo encircling his upper arm.

"Okay. But let me change your bandage first. You're bleeding." I looked down at my feet, and the white bandage had indeed turned red. I nodded for I couldn't walk around printing the hospital floor with a bunch of foot stickers. Lying me carefully back on the bed she re-bandaged my wound from the thorn while a cleaning lady cleaned the mess I made. Once again the sound of the door opening snapped my attention. "Thought this might help." The ranger guy stood there with a wheelchair and a sweet smile occupied his lips. For the first time I observed his features. He had a sharp nose, too sharp in this case and a clean shaved manly face with a set of pearly white teeth and those bright blue eyes

I replied. They both looked at each other like this was an amusing game. I can already tell that even though they seem like mean fighting machines they are nothing but jokesters underneath it all. "I was going to cut my hair today, that's what we usually do so that people can tell us apart but, we have crazed elders on the loose so that got put on hold." One replied. A haircut? I could do that. I mean how hard could it be? "How do you usually cut it?" I asked. "I usually buzz cut the sides but leave the top a little longer to style it." He replied. Now that I look I can see that his hair is shorter than his brothers. "Okay, let's do it then." I replied smiling. His smile dropped from his fac

I groaned as I woke up from my alarm groggily, and pushed my hair back with one hand. My long wavy silver hair was now chopped off till my shoulders. Not that I looked bad, though. It had been a week now with my new wolf cut hair that my mom did for me. And it turned out, I was actually born for this haircut. The best part is I don't even need to style it with blow dryer and curlers like others as strangely my hair stays in like that even when I wake up.

One wrong move and I was certain I'd rip the seams. "Whatever, I'm not here to impress you," I snapped, doing a quick sweep of what he wore. The man always seemed so put together. His hair was perfectly styled to the side, a light peppering of hair framed his sharp jaw, and the small scar over his lips seemed to stand out under the warm yellow glow of the light above us. He wore a black, short-sleeve button-down with the sleeves rolled which exposed the ranger tattoo on his right bicep. Although the lower half of his body was hidden beneath the table, I recalled seeing him in black jeans when he passed me.

Adan was standing behind him, holding a buzzing shaving machine in his hand with an exaggerated air of confidence. “Are you sure you know how to do this?” Ryan asked worriedly. “Of course! Who do you think worked on everyone’s hair?” Adan replied. “Just relax. You’ll look just like us. Handsome and smouldering.” Adan began to shave off Ryan’s hair and Ryan felt a wave of emotion course through him. Seeing his father, grandfather, brother and best friend shave their heads to support him made him feel very touched. Now that he was shaving his head, he didn’t feel bad about losing his hair.

Well, except for our hair! I didn’t have time or money to go to a barber, so it had been Victor’s sister who last cut my hair with a blunt trimmer. The other guy looked like he regularly saw a hairstylist, and to be honest, my wolf sort of snickered at his man-bun.

While I was brushing my teeth, I looked at the bruise on my cheek. Last night I went to a rundown bar to get something to drink and start a fight. I’ve had that nightmare the last couple of nights, so I needed to let off some steam or I would’ve hurt the next idiotic person I came across. Hey, some people fuck, I fight. When I was done in the bathroom, I combed my hair. I really need to get a haircut. It’s been a while. My hair is almost to my knees, which means braided, it’s about mid-butt. I like to keep it about waist length to cover up the scars on my back. I didn’t realize how long it had been because I keep it braided all the time.
