Valkyrie Mythology Novels & Stories

"Partly. But mostly, it’s about you." My stomach tightened. "Shit. I knew it, I just didn't want to accept it." She smiled, then took a slow sip of her tea before setting the cup down carefully. "Tell me, Kayla… have you ever heard of the Valkyries?" I blinked at the sudden shift. "...The warrior women from legends?" Lady Elizabeth leaned forward slightly. "They were not just legends. Once, they were rulers. Protectors. Gods in their own right. They wielded power that few could match, leading armies, shaping kingdoms, and striking fear into those who dared to oppose them."

Valeria smiled. “Ever heard of the Valkyries?” she asked. “Of course, everyone knows about them. They are very powerful; they have helped with a lot of wars, and they are fierce slayers. I heard the Valkyries and Vladimir are in a battle; apparently there was a war Vladimir was supposed to help with, but the Valkyries sisters got involved and won. Now, Vladimir is searching for them, but no one knows who they are or what they are or where they are; they are like ghosts. Seen only when they want to be seen,” Egan said.

I asked her, as I offered her a hand and she stood up again. “Gunnr, Valkyrie of War. I’ve come to take Hati to the depths of Muspelheim, to be chained in the fires of Odin’s wrath for eternity,” she said to me. “Why only now?” I asked her. “He had to be defeated by a half-breed first. It was prophesized,” she said, as she walked towards the fallen wolf, and a bright light surrounded her. I didn’t know how to respond to that, what prophesy? Why didn’t Freya mention this?

I ask without forethought when I can't handle the emotional turmoil. Valiant shakes his head. "You don't want to know." His smile is back, and it puts me momentarily at ease. "Yes, I think I do." He's almost playful, which I find a little scary. Drunks come in all shapes and sizes. Some are mean and depressed, a few become the life of the party, and others say things they'd never stay sober. I'm starting to believe Valiant belongs in the final group. I've wanted a peek into his mind, and this may be my chance to get it.

I began. That instantly captured their attention. Even Jiya looked at me curiously. "The four realms?" Abi asked. I nodded. "I’m not sure where I learned it, but maybe from books or someone told me," I said. They waited eagerly for me to continue. "These four realms honor the Moon Goddess. They are the Lycan Realm, the Vampire Realm, the Elf Realm, and the Siren Realm," I explained. The three of them listened intently. "The Moon Goddess resides in her Moonlight Sanctuary in the Celestial Realm," I added.

' Yleva continues, 'You'll do everything we say or I will throw you back to the filthy mud where you came! The crispness of Yleva's laugh echoes the roll of thunder, and the fire got quenched, leaving Esper in darkness. She closed her eyes. Galindra, if you think you can stop me with just a made-up prophecy, you're wrong. No one can stop me. You've just deepened my desire to conquer the three kingdoms, and now I won't stop until I conquered the whole Yrthos. I will kill every newborn child if I have to. The dark sorcerer simpered with teary eyes.

It was far worse than the one he experienced while coming. It wasn’t just the chill that left him astounded; it was the energy that the place gave out. Valen had never encountered any vampires. There was no reason for vampires and werewolves to mix. Each entity had always maintained its lane. But he had heard stories about their doings. However, how exactly they were linked to the Lycanis was what Valen didn't know. Thanks to the training Draegon had pushed him through years ago, Valen had made it this far undetected. Every quiet step was like holding onto the rope of survival.

I asked "Well from what I understand its when you die in battle, the Valkyrie are women who wear beautiful armour riding winged horses will carry her from the battle field and take her to Odin the all father and they will dine in a hall made of gold and drink ale from curved horns and feast of succulent meats and she will be surrounded by all the great warriors of all time" Mary said with excitement in her eyes "And what do you believe?" I asked "I would like to believe my nan's beliefs are true, I truly do but to have her beliefs wouldn't I need to turn my back on the moon goddess?" Mary answered in the dorm of a question

But before I could storm out, Zaqriel’s voice stopped me. “Valkyrie is not a man.” I turned. His eyes caught mine, blazing, stripping every shield I thought I had. “Valkyrie is a bloodline. MY bloodline.”

Alice answered after a while. "So you weren't with Alastair then ... " Nick and I have known Alice for a long time. There are only a few Valkyries in this world, maybe around fourteen, maybe less. No one knows for sure. Valkyrie is the goddess of war who lived for hundreds of years, they were born from human parents or Volder. No one knows how someone could be chosen and born into this world as a Valkyrie. Many of us wanted the power of the Valkyries and hunted them down, but of course nothing worked. In the first place, the chances of encountering a Valkyrie were extremely slim ... perhaps seven billion versus fourteen? Second, nothing can beat them. Valkyrie is nicknamed the goddess of war
